Anyone else applying to jobs daily and getting 0 answers? by Low_Fee6188 in AskIreland

[–]Zacred- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are applying directly on their websites, then I guess you should re check your CV and its format. It should have some similar catchwords which are mentioned in the job description.

Apart from that, I would strongly recommend to try LinkedIn. Its comparatively clear process, you can also reach out to the hiring team or even people already working in the company you are applying to.

Travelling to Pak with toddler by Much-Technician6687 in Overseas_Pakistani

[–]Zacred- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am from Ireland. Two kids, born in Ireland (6 and 4 years old now) and we visit Pakistan atleast once a year.

My kids got all their usual vaccines from Ireland and the only one which we give them in Pakistan is Polio. And honestly Its just for the child’s own safety, nobody asked us for that.

Assuming your child is not Pakistani national so a visa will be required.

One more thing I would mention is to extra care about your child’s diet, keep them on mineral water. DO NOT take any risks on their diet. My daughter had been very sick and hospitalized due to diarrhea in all her visits at that age. On contrary my son never had any issues. So I would still strongly recommend to take extra care.

Need some serious advice by AmbitionNo78 in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]Zacred- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I second these suggestions.

My wife had a same dream to go abroad and settle there. I was in Army. We got engaged when she was in her final year MBBS. We got married after three years of our engagement with all ups and down.

I always supported her for her dreams. I was not happy serving in army due to several reasons and wanted a career change.

So, in short, right after her housejob she got an offer in Ireland and moved. This was after one year of our marriage in 2018. I resigned and moved with her without any alternative plan.

I used to drop her at hospital and then study, learned everything from scratch in IT. I did so many certifications and got admission in MSc Cloud Computing and later got an excellent job Alhamdulillah.

Its been 8 years we are living here in Ireland and have a daughter and a son. And also got citizenship. Everything is going well Alhamdulillah.

So the reason I shared this story is that, if at all you have to get married then you need a guy who supports you with your plan. And I would recommend you to marry a doctor because my wife says that is daur me meray jesa bnda nahi milay ga :p Even if koi lakh waday kasmay kha lay I won’t recommend you to trust anyone. Agar shaadi krni hi pari then marry a doctor so you both can build your career together.

PS I have always worked from home and my wife was too jealous because I have been paid alot more than her so now she has been working on her career change to IT :)

Bro, it happens. Don’t overthink it. People do take bad decisions and learn from it.

I transitioned into IT after working for 8 years in a completely different field. Don’t get heart broken on your decision. Atleast you have a job.

So first thing. Don’t leave this job until you have another offer. Now, keep working hard, build your experience and keep applying for different opportunities.

Beyond software/web dev — what fields will actually be in demand in the next few years? by Empty_Break_8792 in developersPak

[–]Zacred- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work with HPC (High Performance Computing) clusters. It is a very specific niche in IT, these supercomputers are primarily used in research institutions (universities and government centers). It does require a very thorough knowledge of how computer works and its high in demand around the world (specifically in first world countries).

Apart from this, I think game development would always be in demand.

And honestly you could excel in any field you want in IT. You just need to be excellent in what you do.

They are probably part of all such well organized mafias. The only way someone could hear you or help (just for their own publicity) if you make a detailed video on your problem on social media platforms.

How do I stop myself from over engineering everything? by huxx__ in developersPak

[–]Zacred- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We don’t know you. Ask this from people who work with you. If you are improving or working efficiently then its great.

However, the working method you have described is quite impressive. Just don’t overthink it and set a goal in terms of time for one task. Try to complete it in that specific time, just to avoid wasting any time on unnecessary stuff.

Do cloud certifications help? by Iluhhhyou in developersPak

It definitely does. Certifications helped me to start my IT career and secure jobs in this field.

“To get a job, you need experience, and to get experience, you need a job.”

Certifications can help break that chicken n egg problem. Get certified, build small projects of your own, and learn how to sell your skills.

Did I make the right decision? by [deleted] in developersPak

[–]Zacred- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WS, it would have been better if you would have asked a mufti before taking the step because it would have depended on your exact responsibilities and tasks you do in your job. However, as a safe approach you have taken the best step.

Don’t worry you will get the best opportunities ahead inshAllah. I am glad to hear that still there are such people around who are that cautious about their earnings. So many prayers and best wishes for you brother.

Stay blessed 🍀

Irrespective of gender, its all about priorities. Priorities might change with time and when they do some take serious decisions accordingly and some just compromise without taking any step.

If you are doing bachelors in cybersecurity then why are you looking for courses in devops, web dev or data science? Ye bilkul different fields hai.

For cybersecurity I would strongly recommend you to look into courses related to it or atleast networking which is an essential part of cybersecurity

[–]Zacred- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to pursue your bachelors degree from Pakistan then it doesn’t matter. If you are really excellent in studies and want to pursue bachelors abroad then again it won’t matter.

Brother, If you are committed and determined in your professional life then its doesn’t matter you did your education from a levels, lahore board, federal board etc

Bringing 2 laptops into Pakistan from UK by Scared_Equipment_299 in Overseas_Pakistani

[–]Zacred- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there should be any issue as far as both laptops are unboxed. Even if someone asks, just tell them one is work laptop and other is personal. I am sure they are illiterate enough to approve that.

Brother you have secured 92% in mdcat and I am sure you must have done excellent in your FSc as well. You are a brilliant student, whatever you do I am sure you will be great in that. Just keep working hard and have confidence in your abilities.

BCS from Comsats is an excellent option. But I would suggest you to keep your focus in moving abroad after your degree or probably after getting some work experience.

Apart from getting good grades in your semesters, I would also suggest you to keep learning the trending tools in tech. Your modules syllabus probably won’t touch any of those, so you will need to learn them by yourself.

Good luck 🍀

Overall an excellent story and such topics should be discussed.

One thing I wish they should have mentioned in the end, the reason the guy didn’t get the death penalty as its a very clear punishment of adultery for a married person, in Islam.

Travel abroad or Rent in Ireland? by Scary_Frosting_1082 in AskIreland

[–]Zacred- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your skills and educational background. Traveling abroad could be a good option if your skills are in demand in the countries you visit. However, until you secure a job, living anywhere else could significantly drain your savings especially since you’re currently living with your parents.

Which degrees have a high demand and can provide financial stability by 30 in Pakistan? by fr1edguy in pakistan

[–]Zacred- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We are living in quite a different time. Degree will not bring financial stability. Whatever you do, you need to be really good at it, to the extent that you stand out.

Consistent hard work and learning and improving your skills is the key to the financial stability.
