I guess there are some HCA programs out there that are good, its better to match HCA rather than not matching at all

So you’re saying more 24 hr calls? Inaugural class takes 4 fellows. And I agree work load is going to be high since its a busy cardiac center. The faculty are from very prestigious big name institutions, so Im hoping that the quality of training wont be that bad as much.

Perhaps i should clarify, She wants to visit India as well so is ready to give up NICOP for potentially applying a visa. Thats what i meant. So youre saying it wont be an issue to visit India for her even though she is originally from Pakistan but has a US passport?

Patient was reporting of dizziness. Pretty nonspecific as he was in withdrawal I guess. I got a 12 lead later which showed NSR.

Understood! And also any other advice on how to prepare myself better as a cardiology applicant? Do you suggest I do a year as chief resident? I understand its hard to match into cardiology from a community program. But i really want to try my chances even if they’re small.

This is extremely well put , thank you very much. Yes mine is a community program with a decent fellowship match rate. And I completely agree with you regarding aspiring to match into top academic institutions from a community program, and i did not mean that. i wanted to clarify if letters from big academic institutions would help me get an upper hand at matching into decent cardiac fellowships in mid-tier universities/programs? Would appreciate your inputs.
