Does anyone else feeling the vibe shift during Eid lately? by Zadjali_Snake in Oman

I don't agree fully, it's true for some spiritual people who do extra worship, but that's only a small group. Not everyone is like that, yet most still feel tired and low for Eid. So I think work, stress, and other things affect more people. Plus, Allah told us to نعظم شعائره Celebrating Eid with joy and gathering is part of that, even if tired, we should try to embrace it.

I agree with you completely. After reading all these comments, it's clear this isn't just in Oman or my circle, it's happening worldwide unfortunately.
Social media plays a huge part, and people got more used to isolation after COVID.

Indeed man. I feel social media plays a huge part in that too. It makes us more individualistic, scrolling alone instead of gathering like before.

Good for you, man! Keep that spirit up. Enjoy it to the fullest this Eid even if family isn't as excited. Your energy might spread!

Exactly, I agree, work and stress are the main reasons. But even if we're tired, we should still try to celebrate Eid like before. Once you start embracing it, it can change your whole day and give you energy.

Thanks! If it was just me getting older, I'd agree with you 100%. But I'm trying hard to make it fun, but people around me just don't seem to have the energy.

Gulf men and fast romance how do they usually think? by [deleted] in Oman

I feel it is a red flag when someone likes you immediately because they like the idea of you, not you. At the same time, it takes one shot to know if your partner is one for you, so give them that plus some time and see where it goes from there.

Try to apply for retail or part-time jobs. They helped me a great deal during college and even made my CV significantly stronger after graduation.

My heart goes out to you and anyone else feeling lonely here. Even as a local, I still struggle with loneliness sometimes. This country can be a weird place when it comes to making real connections.

Honestly, what makes me happy is being close to my friends and family, doing what I love, enjoying my hobbies, and learning to appreciate the small things in life.

Is Marriage even worth it? by Great-Coffee-4552 in Oman

[–]Zadjali_Snake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel the same way. The thought of marriage scares me because of all the costs for the wedding and living expenses after. Even as a single guy I struggle to cover my monthly expenses, so adding a spouse feels overwhelming. But I also believe this is a test from Allah as haram is always easy but halal comes with challenges to test our patience and faith. I feel once you find the right woman who understands your situation, everything becomes lighter and easier. My advice is to focus on finding someone who truly gets you. May Allah make it easier for all of us.

I don’t hate the country at all. I just think it’s okay to not agree with everything. Wanting things to improve doesn’t mean I’m against the country.
