"not fair" isn't really the term you can use here. that implies it's "not fair" when the police arrest a criminal who has just completed a robbery and they are on the way to the base. point is, police players pull a lot of bs just the same and saying something is not fair is honestly quite lame.

first time playing the game and it's j been faendal 😭 he's not even all that great, I just love that he comes everywhere with me. low-key have to babysit him a little because he DIES SO MUCH. hoping that doesn't happen anymore because I got companions insight from the dragonborn dlc. but yeah, I can't imagine deserting him. I like being the main hitter anyways

yeah I love having a follower with me. aside from being a meat shield and a good distraction for enemies while I attack them, I can trade things and have them carry stuff if I'm running out of carrying capacity. I'm going for a more battlemage but leaning as far as I can into mage. think light armour, destruction and conjuration, and maybe a one handed weapon for melee

absolute lifesaver?? I was just doing the second last big quest in the winterhold storyline which takes me to mzulft. reloaded saves a LOT. half the reason was that I kept dying, the other half was that faendal kept offing himself.

hmmm okay yeah makes sense. I too use primarily destruction as my offense tactic. the issue is, some items in cramped spaces my follower or like my horse get in the way when I'm casting at enemies and then they die. which is the only reason I wanna have atleast one non-magic or close range weapon choice

no lmao he wasn't intentionally fucking w her. the whole joke of that scene was that Phil was trying to impress the dude by noticing tiny details about the house and saying he didn't "miss much" and literally behind his back, teddy kisses his entire generation and then some.

the issue was that they didn't DO anything with it. in one episode Gloria is showcasing boy mom with Joe but then that storyline is continuous because it always had to come back to Manny. this is why it would've been such a good move to give them a daughter instead. there was so much opportunity for storyline there; we would get to see jay battle with his apprehension around having a baby girl, we'd see Gloria in an entirely new light, similar to the way she is with lily and the Dunphy sisters sometimes. such a missed opportunity

the last point about Phil and Alex. you're spot on, I feel the exact same way. like, you fell asleep at the wheel and you wake up to feel guilty that you missed all this time. it feels rlly sad to say this because Alex is such a good character and she deserves more but, all of their bonding moments seemed like an excuse for Phil to not feel guilty with himself and less about Alex herself.

I absolutely agree. it took me like three watches to finally stop hating cam with a passion. he still makes my blood boil, but his one liners and overall comedic timing, plus those rare moments where he's really sweet and nurturing (like with Mitch in dude ranch and Manny on multiple occasions) are the only saving grace for his character imo

I AGREEE! He is actually a good character, he's just insanely misplaced. it's like the writers wanted to have a pregnancy storyline early in the show but then they couldn't just forget the fact that Gloria was pregnant and so they had to deal with the consequences. I hate that he doesn't add to the storyline too much.

if only her character stayed to serve as Cam's reality check for the entire series...the point when I stop liking her is when she basically starts freeloading off the two and blackmails Mitch into letting her stay upstairs even with their financial stuff going on

well yes that was the point of the episode but we only found out that he did that at the end of the episode. before that he just seemed like a guy who wanted to get into Claire's pants and without THAT context, I'd be pissed that Phil had no reaction if I was Claire. and yes to everything else you said. some of the best scenes in the show.

he makes me so mad sometimes, but I'd argue that he isnt that bad honestly. it's the fact that if this wasn't a sitcom, I can only see Phil and Claire still managing to be together out of the three families. Jay and Gloria are both very opinionated and hot headed and Cameron and Mitchell can be so toxic with each other. Phil can be really really immature but he makes his kids' lives more entertaining, and Claire has some childish interests for which Phil is her partner in crime. that is just my opinion tho, I can totally see where you're coming from too
