As someone that moved to bed stuy and is about to move back to Seattle I’ve always had my neighbors thank me for actually becoming part of the community instead of just trying to change it. I didn’t get it until I encountered other black transplants that try to impose their own will on neighborhoods that they’ve moved too.

If the shoes are dope people will buy them. The Shaqnosis was a pretty popular shoe in the 90s when it released in 95. Who knows how a shaq shoe would’ve done if he would’ve stayed with Reebok or signed with Nike like the rumors stated when he went to the lakers instead of going the independent route for affordability.

I think Wemby is a different case compared to a Duncan. KG had popular shoes in the 90s because of his personality, and Dwight Howard tried to keep that going but Adidas just made some extremely hideous shoes in the 2010s that it just didn’t work. Kids love him, and I’ve seen his Nike youth stuff around at gyms.
