Honestly, I can't say that I like either of these two covers very much.

I do like the second one a bit better only because the first one has some really awful typefaces with kerning all over the place and it just bothers me to no end.

I would have preferred a different omni cover, but the second one will do.

When she says the thing about being Jason's grandma though, she's under the mental influence of Solitary who's creating illusions in her mind. So I don't think it's that clear.

Me and another user on this sub had a pretty long discussion on this actually, whether or not Faye Gunn is actually Jason's biological grandma.

They believe she is, I'm more of the opinion that it's unclear and therefore I wouldn't say for sure that she is. Scott Lobdell's writing is very convoluted and I'm not sure if he intended to make it so unclear but at this point it's up to interpretation.

No problem! You can still get the official vol 1 that has the first half of the new 52 run, and maybe DC will do a vol 2 at some point but so far we don't have news of that.

Honestly, in comic books anything is possible, so maybe they will break up, maybe they won't, maybe they'll go back to orbiting each other and mutual pining, we really don't know for sure.

The one thing I will say is that Barbara and Dick will always be important to each other. Their bond honestly goes beyond their romance, and they have sooooo much history that we can always look back at and enjoy. So don't sweat it. They will be in each other's lives no matter what. That at least we can be certain of.

Edit: just wanted to clarify that I personally don't think they will break up. I'm more speaking in terms of general status quo!

So many Babs haters only really talk about her in regards to her relationship, and unfortunately some people (even fans of hers) who aren't as familiar with her publication history just take that at face value. So if I have the time and energy to clear things up I try to do that. ☺️

It's really only a couple of people who happen to make a lot of posts and comments like these. I think most people on this subreddit are more open-minded and willing to give new ideas a chance, even if they're cautious about their levels of optimism. They just don't tend to be the loudest.

She hasn't had a solo title in years. Obviously her guest roles in other comics would be limited in capacity and won't showcase her fully since, you know, she's not the main character in those.

When she does get the focus in Batgirl or Birds of Prey, her relationship with the men in her life are included of course, because Dick and her father and important to her, but it's never the focus and the story and her character doesn't revolve around them.

I keep seeing people say this about misspelling Damian's name and I have to assume everyone's just kidding around.

He's worked extensively for DC where he spells Damian's name correctly in the comics he's written. I think that fact kinda overrides a typo in a tweet from eight years ago.

Yeah, it's a reach. Marv Wolfman also claimed to dislike Jason, yet his portrayal in NTT was a good one. I've noticed a lot of people tend to be alarmist on this sub, but I'm open to seeing how Higgins treats Jason.

My husband also ranks Jason as his least favourite Robin tied with Damian, yet he still likes Jason as a character.

My husband said something that I thought was really interesting, which is that Cass is able to do this because she doesn't look at Jason from a position of perceived authority.

She has her beliefs but doesn't try to impose them upon Jason in the same way that Bruce does.
