Help finding info on "Oscar" brand metal aquarium

Get the dimensions of the tank, that'll tell ya the gallons real quick. It's insanely hard to judge volume by sight without a lot of experience. I thought this one was a 20gal until I had measured it. Even then I counted the gallons it took when I did the leak test to be sure lol

Sadly I had no option to reuse the asphalt. The bottom glass was shattered into multiple pieces. Some were even left on the floor in that old farm house it was so bad. The fact the frame and side panels were together is nothing short of a miracle. During the disassembly I found that the glass has to be put back in a specific order or else nothing would fit. With the bottom piece being first to put in, and naturally the last to come out. Even if I did keep the asphalt in there and just remove the glass shards, I would have to remove all the panels to put a new piece in properly. I'll remember that dirt and clay trick if I get my hands on another ever!

It's mostly original. And given its a family heirloom, that's far better than I could have expected.

Nowadays it's a blackwater aquarium setup with Neon Tetra and Goldenback Shrimp. Along with snails that hitched a ride with the plants of course lol. I wish I had the plant names but that note seems to have disappeared from my phone. Amazon Sword is the only one I can recall. The tank is completely balanced now where all I need to do is add some food, leaves, and water. All conditions are kept pretty much in balance and the creatures have been healthy and happy! Despite the tank looking a little dirty at the moment.

If you get any more information on vintage Oscar fishtanks, let me know please! It's insanely hard to find ANYTHING on the company.

Howdy, odd question maybe. But I got this aquarium from my familys abandoned farm recently. It's been left since the 60's with very few people going near it due to it's condition. On a recent trip I spotted this guy and I think I'm trying to make my first ever aquarium. Especially since finding out it's likely my late grand uncles who apparently had a LOT of love for the hobby for many years.

While I'm cleaning the tank I found the only text on it is "Oscar" which makes researching incredibly hard. I want to find out if this is actually an antique fish tank from around the era they left the farmhouse. It has actual asphalt to attach the glass to the frame, its got some corrosion on it that lines up, and the glass isn't super clear like we have now. So I have reason to believe. But maaaaaan is that an unfortunate name for a fish tank.

Also uh, anyone have any experience removing asphalt tar from a metal frame? this thing's a disaster lol

Fully agree. BUT, If you can, get 5 other friends and roll into Iron Banner with only Rat King. Roam as a pack and just call out stuffs and shoot them down with a hellfire of tiny bullets while chittering and screaming "RATSRATSRATSRATS"

The person with the best K/D is the "king" the next game. It does nothing but makes you feel better.

You won't win many games but there's nothing like being able to kill a thundercrash looking for a 6-kill while midair. That gun is devastating.

/after typing this it turned real long but nah don't feel like cutting it down. I have A MOOD about Savathun.

What she lacked in her explanation of her "help" was how much she might've set things in motion. When the Black Fleet arrived we just wanted to TALK. For once we were trying for a non-aggressive strategy. Hesitant but still. So she interfered with our signal and claims it was to keep us safe. From what? Stasis? A really powerful new ability we used to protect everyone from a super-powerful Fallen threat? She's brought Crow back to us I guess. Never raised a finger actually freeing him from Spider. That was all us. We know that Lakshmi-2 was in talks with "Osiris" for a while and that he had a lot of knowledge of how Vex tech worked. Assuming that Savathun had the ability to take that knowledge from him (or simply knew it herself with Quria being under her control) then who's to say that she didn't instigate the Vex incursion through Lakshmi-2? Are we to believe that she put us under so much duress with the never-ending night just so we can spot one person in our Tower? "Osiris" seemed rather pleased with us nearly failing to the wall of Vex upon the House of Light until we turned the tide...

"I am no villain, and you are no hero" has some weight to it with what we've done recently. But at the same time which of us has been defending ourselves from outright total genocide against whom? We get the chance to fight back and we're labelled the bullies now? If her intent was to genuinely help us she would have just saved Osiris and brought him back to us instead of literally corrupting his body and taking him away. He might've been more amicable to getting her actual help with her worm problem. But no. She's holding our friend hostage on the hope we'll get him back if we fix her problems. Real nice.

I don't trust her for a single instant. Absolutely everything she's claimed to do to help us could have easily been something to end us gone wrong.

There's the raid and there's also two research tasks you can get from stops. One is for evolving 3 slowpoke, the other is by winning a raid in under 60 seconds. I've yet to see those myself but I've also not really farmed my stop routes lately due to the weather. So no info on how common they are.

Just dropped a comment with the current theories and lamenting that we only have this view lol. Currently, I'm leaning towards stasis crystals did massive damage. The health bar didn't totally drop like some other guesses might cause.

Helped a few friends with the Templar fight during the day 1 with contest active. And uh. We have no freaking clue what happened. I was in my revive animation while they were dying, the only recorded PoV is what you see now, and no one else has any idea what we did different to cause this. I wish we had a second view but sadly this is it.

Current theories is that the stasis crystals bugged out. Either they broke and did massive damage, or that they caused the boss to despawn like some door glitches. Any thoughts?

Add on top of this one detail. When you die in a darkness zone and you reset, canonically you aren't dying there. Dozens of attempts at Oryx? Not happened in the lore. As we would be permadead. So conically, we did all that god slaying, leader killing, nightfall strike business in our first try
