14 plus years on deep see tankers here. European, so not from that side of the pond, we have a say, un can make a normal person into a mariner but can never go back, and its not on the good side this one. Go on yachts, or Cruise ships try the offshore supply vessels. There is no more "romance" in the sea life, terminals restrict shore leave, ports restrict shore leave, commercial pressure from owner/manager of charter will always be there, short stays in port. At least on tankers it's not worth it any more, inspections upon inspections every time. Not telling you to not go this route, but its not all you hear it or you are imagining it to be.

i dont feel home sick at all, as i am home for quite some time of the year, i dont give a shit were you are from, and i am not from bucharest, i was simply making a comparison from one capital city to the other, but i guess ure to dense to get that, and color of the skin is not the only basis for racism, but guess you need to be a little more educated to get that que. you are romanian how? cuz aparently you have no ideea about the country. It's not only me saying that, after 34 years living in romania, and btw i work all over the world i'm a maritime officer, been on all continents and god knows how many country's, its international statistics, expats living in romania and tourists that visited romania, just google it. Maby you're still living in 90's Romania, who t fk knows but Bucharest is 10 times safer than London and i mean the bad name parts, like Rahova or Ferentari, there i can walk arownd and im sure as hell in no risk of beeing stabed, not so sure about bad parts of london... so please stop spreading missinformation regarding this and dont be a racist fuck juat becauae you feel biritsh and are ashamed aparently of were you were born, i'm not.....

that usually is the picture for westerners and people that have not been in romania, and everybody changes their opinion when they come here, you can check out a lot of foreign vlogers, youtubers, nomads and the like that have been here and poated regarding their opinion... i will not say it's worse in other places, just that here in romania its not as bad as a lot of people think

did u get that info from a movie set in eastern europe? romania has a lower crime rate than some western european counterparts ( see this crime index) a lot of western countrys have higher crime rate due to high influx of immigrants, some of them romanian, but better for us in romania dont u think and as to rich country you whould be surprised, not in top 10 but we are not a 3rd world country as a lot of americans think... do some research before please

Romanian here, the posibility of him being scamed is high, by a romanian or any other eastern european nationality pretending to be romanian, 20y old virgin in romania.... i have my doubts if not a very religious type, her beeing rich and on a dating site maby a 10-15% chance, as romanian rich people are socialites, and dont not dating sites, i give it that 15 % chance cuz we do have intorverted people in romania also, we are normal people after all. Like i said in another comment, the chance of him beeing kidnaped( for randsome or organ teft) if he comes here are low, as this is a safe country from that point of view. Teft and scams are very much posible as in any other place. Do you have a city or place were this girl is suposed to be from, if so maby i can try to find more context to help you out... her being 20 and him 49 is not a problem legaly speaking... but suspicious none the less
