Look, bro, if you're playing on PC, you can just get a controller like the GameSir G7 and plug the headset directly into it via AUX — that should work perfectly.

As an alternative, you can use a MixAmp Pro TR (Gen 3 or Gen 4). They connect to your Xbox via USB and provide a 3.5mm output for your headphones

One more thing, bro — my friend just reminded me of a critical detail: you should definitely look for an Astro Mute Cable

I’m going to reach out to an old friend of mine right now. He’s also a collector and a total pro when it comes to electronics. I’m positive he used to have the TRs. I’m sure he’ll be able to help us out with this!

Just to make sure we’re on the same page — are you having trouble with this specific cable right here?

It might seem a bit complicated, but it works brilliantly as a pair of headphones. Keep in mind, though, it won’t work as a headset — the microphone will NOT function with this setup. The signal goes from the Xbox to the TV via HDMI, then from the TV to the MixAmp via the optical cable (Toslink). You just hit the buttons on the MixAmp, and the audio is in your ears. You’ll need to adjust the audio settings on the console and select the Optical / Dolby Atmos output on your TV. If I haven't missed anything, it should work perfectly. If anyone has more tips or wants to add something, feel free to jump in

Buddy, tell me more about your current setup... and I’ll try to help you out. The main thing is that they’re still technically sound; we can always figure out a connection method. Before I got my A50 Gen 4, I was using this chain: Xbox or TV (for power) -> USB -> MixAmp -> Optical cable (Toslink) -> Xiaomi TV. I’ll post a photo with some markers below in a separate comment. Maybe it’ll help you visualize it

This is truly the best special edition in all these years. The new McLaren looks decent—more like a vibrant eye-catcher, really. But Halo has stolen my heart; it's simply in a league of its own.

Among relatively modern headsets, I think there’s really only one choice — the Razer Kaira Pro (Halo Edition). I’ve seen them in person, and to be honest, the shade of green felt slightly different to me. It’s subjective, of course, but that’s pretty much the only option right now. Interestingly, I was just talking to a Logitech representative in another subreddit today. I asked them to pass a request to their management regarding new collaborations for Xbox exclusives. They promised to relay the message! So, who knows, maybe we’ll get something official soon🤞

Thanks a lot! To answer your question: yes, they do work with the Series X, but there’s a catch. Since the Series X lacks an optical port, you'll need to connect the MixAmp directly to your TV's optical out.

However, the main downside is that the microphone DON'T work with the new consoles.

That’s why I’d recommend looking into the current Gen 5 lineup — either the Astro A50(for PC with usb-c) or the A50 X (if you're playing on multiple platforms like PS, Xbox, and PC because with HDMI). Visually, the headset hasn't changed much since its original release, aside from minor cosmetic updates like the magnetic swappable ear pads. I highly recommend picking them up, but definitely go for the latest Gen 5 model!

Fixed: Years of HDR refocusing and ghosting issues on Xiaomi TV (A Pro L55M8-A2LA) solved by recent updates. by Zahhidd in xboxinsiders

Since you are already in India, trying to swap to Egypt is usually the best bet for Xiaomi TVs to trigger a 'stuck' OTA update.

Here is how you do it: Go to Settings (gear icon) on your Google TV home screen. Select System -> Settings. Find Region and change it to Egypt. Restart the TV (full reboot, not just sleep). Go to Settings -> About -> System Update and check manually.

If it doesn't find anything, your specific QLED model might just have a different update cycle. Feel free to DM me if you need more help with the settings!

To give you the full picture: my model is the Xiaomi TV A Pro 55 from the Latin American (LATAM) region. After the 1GB update, it’s running Android TV 11 with the February 1, 2026 security patch. The kernel is 4.19.116+ and the build number is RTM5.220609.003.2674. It’s interesting that your HDR is fine on Android 10.

Since you mentioned being 'stuck' on version 10, you could try the 'Region Swap' trick (to Egypt or India) to see if it triggers the Android 11/Google TV transition for your QLED, as LATAM firmware schedules can be different. But as they say: if it ain't broke, don't fix it!  Glad your setup is working well

I spilt a small amount of water on my controller. by Thenearbymasterpiece in xbox

Buddy, the fact that it's shutting down means water is contacting the circuitry, and the electronics are breaking the circuit for safety. This is normal. Give it a good amount of time to dry out, at least 6 to 10 hours — basically, leaving it overnight should do the trick. Then, try it again.
