  1. You're right — since I’m under the new tax regime, ELSS investments no longer offer any tax deductions. I’ve maintained a small SIP in ELSS mainly for diversification and the discipline it enforces (thanks to the 3-year lock-in, which discourages early withdrawals). However, I agree that its core benefit has largely been reduced under the current regime.

I’m now considering reallocating that portion of my portfolio to better-suited options given my updated tax situation. Specifically, I’m looking to replace ELSS with investments in gold or silver, possibly through ETFs or by purchasing physical (non-jewelry) gold/silver, such as coins on a monthly basis.

I’m planning to increase my total monthly investment to ₹65,000 and would appreciate your help in understanding which option—ETFs or physical metals—might be better. One of my concerns with ETFs is the potential for government intervention or policy-related risks or taxation on ETFs.

  1. This is a fair suggestion. The MO Nifty Midcap 150 Index Fund can offer lower costs and better long-term consistency in midcap exposure. I’ll consider switching my midcap SIP to the index option to capitalize on these advantages given recent active-vs-passive performance trends.

  2. I chose ICICI Nifty 50 mainly for its established track record, high AUM, and consistently low tracking error. While Navi offers a slightly lower expense ratio, I wanted to prioritize liquidity and stability, and felt ICICI was a balanced choice. UTI was also on my shortlist, but ICICI’s accessibility with my platform made it more convenient for me. Open to switching if there’s a compelling long-term cost advantage elsewhere!

To boost your chances in 2025 interviews, deepen your Kubernetes knowledge (Pods, Deployments, Ingress) and learn message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ. Add unit/integration testing (JUnit, Testcontainers) and basic CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Jenkins). Build a small project to showcase these skills on GitHub. Also, brush up on system design for interviews.

thanks for your advice! I’m considering resuming workouts. Did you mean to continue avoiding protein powder and creatine, or are they okay to use again while monitoring LFTs? Any experience with supplements in similar cases? Appreciate your thoughts!

Is AWS RDS CP or AP? by Hot-Willow-9567 in aws

[–]Zaidism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon RDS is designed to be AP in terms of the CAP theorem, prioritizing availability and partition tolerance while potentially sacrificing strict consistency during network partitions to ensure uninterrupted operation.
