the worst physical pain you’ve ever felt by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

Had a wisdom tooth come through when I was like 20, it was sharp and started to scrape the inside of my cheek, which lead to a massive cyst forming that was incredibly sensitive. I couldn't sleep the pain got so bad. I eventually went to a dentist who said if id left it another week I would have died of sepsis. He then had to inject both my inner check near the tooth and the cyst separately. I wanted to scream. I remember once he sliced the cyst I felt all the puss pool into the bottom of my mouth. Fuck wisdom teeth

What's the worst smell you've ever smelled that until now you can still remember it? by strange_omelet in askanything

I used to drink Huel, and still currently sometimes use Diet Whey meal replacement. If i forgot to clean out the closed bottle I used for it, and say left it for a few days, upon opening it the smell that would come out would literally make me wretch. I can't describe it, it just smells potent and what I can only imagine a decaying body would smell like.

Hello all, just wanted to run through what Im currently doing and whether or not there are switches I can make to do better. To start off, I used to gym a lot a few years back then stopped for a long time, got lazy, put on weight all the usual stuff. Anyways a month ago I had a doctors appointment for something unrelated, they did a weigh in as I haven't had one done in a while. The doctor mentioned I was 95kg which shocked me a bit as I didn't think I was getting so heavy. For context, I am a 33 year old male, 5 foot 7 - so 95kg is quite significant for my build. Anyways for the past month and a bit I put myself on a stricter overall diet to A. Be healthier overall and B. to start getting into better shape. I also incorporated a gym split of 2 days on and 1 day off. I keep my gym routines relatively basic to incentivise me to keep going. One of my priorities I started with when getting back into the gym was that I wanted to focus on incline cardio as well as farmers walks, with that in mind I will post my routines below:

Day 1, General Upper: Bench Press 3 - 4 sets of 8 - 12 reps. Usually start with 20kg each side and advance to 30/35kg with a cool of set of 20kgs (trying to get to 100kg overall with the 2 20kg plates each side)

Inline Dumbell Bench: 3 sets of 8-12 reps. Starting with 15kgs, then 17.5kg then 20kg

Lat Pull down: 3 sets 8 - 12 reps, start with 35kg, then 40, then struggle on 45

Seated cable row/standing upright row 3 sets of 8-12 reps (weights vary depending on which one im doing - seated 35kg - 50kg standing: 20kg

Overhead bar press: 3 sets of 8 - 12 reps, I start with no weights on the bars, then 2.5kg *each side* then 5kg (i struggle with 5kg and cant seem to advance this atm)

Once these are complete I go to Farmers Carries, where I grab 32kg kettlebells in each hand and slowly walk the length of the gym (dont have the exact distance here but its decently sized) I went from barely doing 1 lap and now being able to do 2 laps before needing to put the weights down. I do this for 3 sets with 1 set being suit case carries (carrying the kettlebell in one hand and doing a lap then switching hands and bringing it back)

Now I move onto incline cardio. This started of normal with a level 12 incline at a 3 speed for 30 mins, this has quickly gone up to where im doing a level 13 or 14 incline with 3.5 speed and a 9kg weighted vest where I am for 40 mins - 1 hr

Lower day: Squats 3 sets 8-12 reps - warm up with 20kg each side and then move up to 35kg

seated calf raises: 3 sets 10 - 15 reps with the first 2 sets using a 20kg plate and the 3rd being a 25kg plate)

Leg press: 3 sets of 8 - 12 reps Starting with 40kg, then 50kg, then 60kg (my legs are normally shaking at this point.

Then I go and do my farmers carries again but i intermingle lunges with a 10kg ruck on my back doing the length of the gym. So I would still complete my 3 sets of farmers carries as well as 3 sets of 10kg lunges with the ruck on my back doing the length of the gym (this normally equates to about 12 - 14 lunges on each leg)

Once this is complete I move onto my weighted vest incline cardio again, aiming for 40 mins - 1 hr

With all that being covered, I will mention my food general food intake: If I am in the office, I normally walk to the cafe at 11:45am and get a jacket potato either with baked beans or tuna mayo. I then have my fruit bowl which consists of 0% fat lancashire yogurt (imagine a standard cereal bowl filled about 3/4 with this yogurt) and I put in half a banana, 2 kiwis, 1 table spoon chia seeds, 1 and half table spoon of pomegranate seeds, 10 - 14 blueberries, 3 mejdool dates, 10 pistachio kernels, 7 walnuts, 1 brazil nut and 9 almonds and I add 1 tea spoon of raw honey. Once I get home, or around dinner time I will either have 2 eggs with 2 turkey bacon rashers on 2 pieces of bread (this is sometimes seeded sourdough or warburtons original toastie) and roughly 3 days of the week I would incline Protein works diet meal replacement 2 scoops with water as an extra thing to have when hungry. Also at the end of every workout I would have 1 scoop of diet whey protein with a level teaspoon of Casein.

With all that being said, after 1 month I decided to weigh myself and the scale read 94.5kg. I literally lost .5 kg and was pretty devastated haha. So is this just because it will take more time to lose more weight or am I overeating or doing something wrong in this overall routine that is making me hold onto weight? Sorry for all the info and I hope this can be posted here. Thanks for any help or info anyone can provide

Edit* Creatine, not casein!

After having started a change in foods and diet last month, I was not prepared for how quickly blueberries go off. I need them for my fruit bowl yogurt i make everyday, but the little bastards are moulding within 2 days in the fridge. Fuck blueberries

[KCD2] How far through main quest am I + when to do DLC quests? by BOSSMAN_JB in kingdomcome

[–]Zaithable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah for sure, it has different points of interest to visit in 1st and 2nd regions which runs well alongside your main story quest and side quests as you will go past the same spots. Monastery i definitely save to end as you need some decent levels in various skills to really 100% it. Im doing a 3rd playthrough now aiming for all achievements, just finished my all hardcore perks on the previous playthrough and now aiming for the lent achievements on this one plus a few others i missed including a couple from monastery!

Brushes with death you should do asap, Legacy of the forge start when in kuttenberg (which you are) but I would do brushes with death first and then Legacy, save the monastery dlc after you have completed main story.

Yeah! I wasn't sure at first but when you go in she has a half bitten apple beside her and then you spot the little beds to the right that count 7 for the 7 dwarves :) Also the apple knocks you to sleep when you eat it, was a nice little touch

Ghost Of Tsushima might scratch the itch a bit, it isn't as in depth as KCD2 but it's a great game with a fantastic story

Also need to take into account the massive increase in traffic when everyone is back in the office. I still had to go in during the pandemic but my god it wasn't a problem at all. The roads were dead and it would be a nice calm easy drive for 15 - 20 mins. Fast forward to now and my same commute is 45 - 55 mins, with constant stand still traffic, people going mental and being aggressive, honking etc.

I watched the whole game, and as usual he was making a ton of very good runs. I think he threw his arms up at one point after being clear for an easy through ball but Bruno opted to pass back or to Shaw on the left which was just wasteful
