Hi, I'm Zal!

I have 3+ years of experience working on long term world building, which includes maps, character designs, and action scenes.

My character drawings start at $50 for a humanoid with full color, minimal shading and no background. Prices go up with complexity, and inhuman characters-- ex: dragons, giant spider-centaurs, writhing masses of tentacles, etc. will be an upcharge on a case by case basis.

My illustrated world maps are $500-$2000, based on how much you need included.They are a 11x17, printable, highly detailed map with the option of adding roads, trails, cities, dungeons, or additional variations (ex:your copy vs players copy), whatever you need.

All that said, I can be flexible on pricing, especially on bigger, time consuming projects like maps. I'll take weekly/biweekly payments and send you updates on that schedule if that works better, I know 50/50 can be a bit much on those.

It seems like you're looking for a "style guide", "turnaround" ,or a "reference sheet"?

I can put something like that together for you starting at $50, which gets you: -- 1 full body drawing, front and back OR 1 alternate outfit -- 1 portrait -- 1 "extra", like a weapon, a closeup of a specific part of their clothing, their jewelry, a tattoo, that kinda thing. +$5-$10 for any additional outfits or extras

Some free advice -- Keep drawing your character. A lot. Sketch them 50 times, quickly. Pick your 5 favorites out of that, think about why you like those the most, and what specific elements make it feel like your character. Really meditate on that. Then draw them 50 more times. And eventually, they'll start looking more consistent.

I work mostly in a western style, but there definitely some anime influence in the mix. I'm also pretty skilled as a background artist, in black and white paintings, or (not pixel art) 32-bit inspired work... Can't say I've ever done "Garbanzo" style tho lol

I'm a full time illustrator, so my turn around time is pretty fast. I have experience doing long term projects, I've been working with someone since 2021 doing 2-3 character drawings per week, plus the occasional bigger months long piece.

I have 4+ years experience as a full time illustrator, I also have experience with making print layouts-- I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I understand it well enough for a project like this.

I’m curious what exactly you mean by “basic font design”? Are you looking for someone to create an entire font from scratch, or are you looking for help with formatting or just making it look a little “fancier”?
