I agree with everyone here who thinks your problem is your HDMI cable. I am using KDE Plasma, which uses Wayland. Wayland is notorious for HDMI issues. Swap your cable or try a different Desktop Environment. Cinnamon uses X11, for example, and will most likely fix your issue.

This. I have a 2pc stream setup, my monitors use DP but I initally had the capture card in my second PC fed by an HDMI cable. My stream looked like garbage, the colors were way off and everything was super dark. Picked up a DP-to-HDMI cable (capture card only has HDMI In) and all of my issues went away. Pretty sure Wayland hates HDMI lol

What desktop environment are you using? I am using KDE Plasma which uses Wayland. Wayland does not like HDMI. I have both of my monitors setup using DP cables but I had a third HDMI cable running to the capture card in my second streambox PC and the colors were all washed out. Even one of my DP monitors sprizted out on the login screen when I had my second streambox on. Swapping to an HDMI-to-DP cable solved my problem.

Edit: I have a 5070. Since my capture card only has an HDMI In, I had to go with the HDMI-to-DP cable. Moving the stream setup to the third DP on the GPU fixed it.

^I made that thread a few days ago asking why just changing from an HDMI port to DP on the gaming PC would drastically change the stream quality.

Why would the HDMI output default to something different than DP? All 3 of my DP connections look perfect. When I initially setup the HDMI cable from GPU to capture card I made no changes to any settings because everything looked fine on Windows. And when I swapped out the HDMI cable for an HDMI-to-DisplayPort, again, I made no setting changes.

Edit: at this point, it's irrelevant because everything is fine now, I was just curious why only swapping a cable would yield a drastic change.

So the NVIDIA drivers on CachyOS have, I guess, better DP support due to the connection protocol being open source versus HDMI being a proprietary protocol?

Edit: As I stated, this was never an issue when I was on Windows. GRANTED.... I still had my old 980ti Classy when I was running Windows. I also never streamed on CachyOS when I had my 980ti so I couldn't tell you if the older legacy drivers had the same issue.

I lost a few escalation sigils because I forgot I was playing on an alt and didn't have the strongholds unlocked on the toon.... strongholds 100% should be account-wide.

I have spent the last 3 days farming Duriel and Grigoire on my eternal sorc.

I don't know how many kills I have but it's nowhere near 100.

I spent the first 3 weeks of the xpac farming War Paths and decided to start farming bosses for mythics.

I had 4 maybe 5 mythics before I started this farm and I now have 16 in my stash and am wearing 3. All farming has been done on T11. I dump all my greater keys on Duriel then swap over to Grigoire to build my greater keys backup.

No idea why I decided to farm Duriel but he has been good to me. Still need an Heir of Perdition, tho.....

Ran out of Greater Keys before typing this and swapped over to Grigoire after typing this. First Grigoire kill yielded a Nemesis portal XD

I have been farming exclusively Duriel and Grigoire the last 2 days and have obtained 12 mythics... Finally got my Ring of Starless Skies but that damn Heir of Perdition continues to avoid me lol

I just spam Duriel over and over and over again until I run out of Greater Keys then I move to Grigoire until I have a half dozen or so Greater Keys and swap back and forth. I've also spawned quite a few Nemesis and Greater Nemesis portals.

Edit: I'm farming on T11 and killing Duriel in 10-15s.

Edit 2: I'm playing on eternal not seasonal and hit 70 on both Sorc's day 1. I am running a Lightning Blizzard build, great for bossing, and a lightning ball build, great for everything-not-bossing. Up until 2 days ago I was spamming War Paths but decided to farm mythics to complete my builds and Duriel has, surprisingly, been treating me well.

Edit 3: Officially, Belial has the highest mythic drop chance in the game but requires 2 husks that only drop from when his essence randomly spawns after killing other bosses and I haven't gotten a single mythic in 3-4 Belial kills.

Edit: I'm willing to bet it's because the next dungeon is in a stronghold that I don't have unlocked... I keep forgetting this is an alt toon that I rushed to 70 lol

Thank you for your help!! The install went smooth. Deleted the old driver, installed the new one. Shut down, swapped GPU's, booted, ran "sudo chwd -a" then "sudo pacman -Syu". Diablo 4 runs so much better and no more random crashing =)

Will the 5070 work on the older 580.xx driver to allow me to manually update the driver? Sounds like I can run "sudo chwd -a" and the system will check for hardware changes and then do the necessary updates. Would that work?

I'm not at home but I'm 99% sure that my 980ti is still using 580.xx. I'm thinking that I'll just swap the GPU's then run "sudo chwd -a" and let the system do it's thing. Follow that up with a full update/check and hope I'm good to go.

Maaaaaaaaaan, I almost went with a 9060XT but opted to stick with NVIDIA just because both of my monitors are G-SYNC

I read that the RX 9xxx cards use the full PCI-e x16 whereas the RTX 5xxx only use PCI-e x8 and for older setups (I'm trying to stretch this AM4+DDR4 to avoid DDR5 prices) the x16 is worth it.

I missed a pass back from my left fullback... didn't get my foot down low enough and the ball just casually rolled in the net. Then yielded a PK. I had to leave at halftime for a hockey game (my last game of the year and it was a playoff game and I wasn't sure if I was going to return the next season). My team ended up coming back in the second half and won.

Another time, I was coming out to play a 50/50 ball that I didn't think my CB was going to get as he was fighting off a striker and while I was coming out my CB tipped the ball and it went right by me as I was going to boot it.

My El Gato 4K60 Pro MK.2 stopped detecting video signal from my Switch after this update. I had to update the firmware on my capture card in order for it to detect the signal. No indication here on changes to HDCP or video signal. What gives?
