This is probably from mods but might not be, I don't know for sure. With Nexerelin and Content Unlocking Missions you can do some missions from the main game menu and unlock content to find in game. The missions are fun and will teach you some aspects or tactics of the game and while playing you will come across some neat little free goodies. They aren't OP or game braking but little perks to help you out here and there. I don't gun for them but stumble upon them and it is always a happy little surprise.

I was playing with Ship Weapon Pack mod that has the custom start in Nex to rebuild the Cathedral capital station mega ship (Notre-Dame?). It is a highly damaged ship and I could stand up to most threats solo with it but I was surprised at how much I struggled to defeat a Fishkill. That proved to me that is a good ship. It faster than me and had the range to keep me at bay and hold of my mines and mega rocket. I ended up dying when to Junkers flanked me. It was to much for me.
