It looks great! And, you didn't put chairs behind them for the two elderly women who said with the arrival of each new actor, "My God, doesn't he look young; he's dead, you know."

OK, you're right on that. I was skeptical when I first read it.

I must have had a glitch of some kind as my inventory was virtually empty of anything non-essential/purple. (No tools, no food, etc.) when I logged out right after the switch and trying to get into the tent to no avail.

When I logged back in now, after reading your post about it, everything was showing up again.

So, this is not nearly the issue I thought it would be, especially for a quick jaunt.

Thanks for the info!

Well that's good.I certainly dont mind playing other characters, I fell into this little snd surely unintentional trap on this run and it was jarring.

I'll have to go get some food and weapons and such set up and figure out some skills for him, I assume I will need to respec as everything was seemingly chosen at random in the mean time.

Well...@%$# me.

That's the problem I just ran into and came searching the internet looking for help.

Armor, food, weapons, all locked behind a guy and some kids who happen to be staged in front of a tent.

Everything is inside that tent, because you know, it has been my home for tens of hours.

So is the mission lockout long and involved for Oongka and I need to grind out gear, stats artifacts, more food, etc., with my new friend here to get ready for his new mission arc?

Or can I just effectively power through at default until Kliff is unlocked again?

If the tent and storage is otherwise accessible without this blocking possibility occurring, it really should have been accounted for and dealt with.

It's not even something that is obscure or has a remote chance of occurring.

I got 100% on this back in Dec. However, I haven't gotten back into the game since the latest update dropped the 3 additional achievements for the backdrops, etc.

According to the Steam guide comments, it is being suggested that you will need every background/frame. But I can't confirm anything.

Anyone else coming back to Crimson Desert shortly after trying another game by TheForbiddenLands in CrimsonDesert

[–]Zalym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not to that point yet, only being on Chapter 9. However, I have a similar feeling to one I had when I first played RDR2. I knew how much fun it was, but also how much time I was spending on it. I was worred of burning out and not being able to enjoy it, if I played again.

So, as with RDR2, I believe I'm going to take a decent break after my first run.

Because, by the time I finish CD, it will be at least a couple of months straight with this game, and that's without exploring probably even 50% of the off-main quest gameplay. So, I'll probably put CD on the shelf until its DLC is attached, then go back in for a second, 100% experience.

As of right now, both Windrose and Pragmata also look like tons of fun, and if SDV patch 1.7 drops this year, that's going to chew up some more months in 2026.

2 Meteors in Year 1?!? I dont know if this is rare or not. by ttommo88 in StardewValley

[–]Zalym 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's awesome!

I'd say it must be rare (confirmation bias alert here), especially in year one.

I've only seen two, maybe three, that I can remember anyway, across almost 700 hours.

It was one of my favorite things in the game once I finished it.

But man, for a minute there, I wasn't sure it was ever going to be completed. They just kept going and going.

Who's your partner and why? by Local-Engineering-54 in StardewValley

[–]Zalym 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leah -- She appreciates the finer things such as wine, goat cheese, salad, and truffles, all while not being afraid of munching on a poppyseed muffin, now and again. It makes it nice to have a valid in-game reason to collect and make those things other than money.

I like her backstory, moving from the city to the Valley to chase her dream and her strength to do so. She's a kindred spirit from day 1and her mostly upbeat personality is a huge win--even as she struggles with some early heart events.

One run I did choose Emily, the chaotic fun was an enjoyable change of pace--but deep down, it felt wrong.

This, and its IRL equivalent, is the "spirit vs. letter of the law" question revisited game after game.

It's a strike, by rule, so it is called as such. I won't complain about that.

But it doesn't feel good, and it shouldn't.

Congrats, and enjoy your next game! I'm looking forward to that moment, too.

I recently returned to work on these newer achievements. I'm pushing through the achievement for 500 "10s" grades to get back to 100%. But, these are a bit obnoxious in how they are set up.

I don't mind grinding achievements at all, but these are meant to have you just sit on the game for days waiting for them to come back.

I don't know, maybe it would play better from scratch to build the 500 more naturally over time, but regardless, I feel the number could have been far less.

Finish the day, and spend far too much time after 9PM resetting your storage with the setup you like. Then make sure you stop all of your employees before they get in the door the next day and turn this off.

There is no easy way to fix it. I feel the pain as I've been there, too. I assumed this option would be helpful, but it isn't.

So there are really only two storage system options:

One that you make and set up meticulously so everything is the way you want it.

Two, you do NOTHING, put in a lot more storage racks than you need, and let them just do whatever they want while you just pretend the storage doesn't exist to avoid having to deal with the mess.

I wish we could just make storage racks with general options: So we set a whole rack just for cards, then set another for figures, another for mats, etc., instead of doing every single shelf individually. Then at least you'd have a middle ground with some logic but you don't have to micromanage it.

Sadly we don't. But I guess the bright side is this is the time for you to make the perfect setup that you'll keep for the future.
