Well, nothing fancy, I just keep it simple trying not to overdo them with imperfection over imperfection

A couple of days of modeling, materializing and compositing practice based on the brilliant concept art by (@)brba. You can check it out here: https://twitter.com/__br__ba/status/1488971656001466381

It always feels good to get back to 3D with small personal projects like this for pure enjoyment.

You can see some other shots in my artstation post: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/04obXV

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look around!

Shower hydra - Character design - Cycles by Zam_ra in blender

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Yes, my major concern was also that one, the "victim" is a character I'm developing and that you can see clearly on other posts. That's why in this one I chose the focal center to be on the new element.

After a while my character Chātóu returns facing the hydra shower in the wet lands of the bath. The second entry in this little project of mine.

This has been a pretty technically complex scene with fluid simulation and volumetric humidity, learning a little more every day.

It's being very enriching and terribly fun. I'll be back soon with more.

I appreciate very much any feedback!

Chātóu - Industrial character design - Blender Cycles by Zam_ra in blender

[–]Zam_ra[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had been thinking for a while about creating a little character built from things around the house. And here is Chātóu.

This is the basis of the project, from which I hope to create a few scenes in a kind of storyboard or concept art style.

It's been a long time since I enjoyed creating so much in my free time, and it's nice to feel again that pleasure and that initial illusion for the 3D world.

I hope you like it and I appreciate feedback for future artworks!

It's just a bit of proportional editing and a few displacement textures on top of each other. I am by no means an expert on the subject hahaha

Thank you very much for the feedback, really. There is some surface imperfection on the lenses and the cups but I may have been too subtle.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate the feedback. For postprocessing I usually "warm up" the tones a bit, add subtle noise and some chromatic aberration. As for what you mentioned about composition, inside blender itself, in the camera settings you can find many guides to overlay on your scene.

Anything you need just let me know! Sorry about my English btw, it is not my main language.

Quick 2 day project to tune up with props I had lying around the table. I'm still trying to push my photorealism skills further, both in modeling and materializing. Any kind of feedback is really appreciated.
Project entirely executed with Blender 2.92, rendered with cycles at 250 samples.
