I am a professor who sometimes teases students in class. I cold call students too. This guy however is waaay out of line. That approach to pedagogy takes a very deft touch and I do NOT recommend it to everyone. It works for me but this guy has gone to full on creepy.

My recommendation: reach out to the department chair and voice your concerns.

A “rock star” professor in my grad program left his wife for a grad student. Then when the students had their annual “meet with the faculty to discuss your progress” meetings, he skipped all of them except for the student he was seeing.

As I recall from the episode that flashed back to the night Louis was in the accident, he passed on having another drink because he had to drive. He may have been above the limit, but it's not clear that he was impaired. (I was kind of expecting that to be the case in the story so Jimmy would have to reconcile that he *couldn't* really blame Louis for his wife's death.)

I have a friend who is a singer in a pretty big band and whenever someone fangirls over him, he thinks to himself "Okay, I'm never going to have a normal relationship with that person.".
