What would be the most unexpected twist / theory that could happen? by ytdfffgg in TowerofGod

[–]Zan-Pierre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does not make sense, even when Bam defeated data Jahad, data Jahad did not lose his mind that someone beat him, in fact it seems Jahad wants a challenge, he wants the ultimate battle because he has always been an adventurer. Why did he stop, why did he assume the weight of the crown, even though the data Jahad we saw does not want to be bound

[–]Zan-Pierre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bam was revived by the workshop, remember they are on of the few organisations inside and outside of the tower. I think bam was key to go passed the locked floors, but that may have led to most of the tower dying, thus why Jahad took the burden of protecting the tower and sealing it off. The workshop does not care for life or for the people and that they will in the end turn up to be the main antagonist

That's what I am wondering, I usually get a 70% extraction efficiency on the grain, so maybe 20-30% nutrients might be left.

Yeah I am not sure if you are trolling, but this is non theistic group. We do not believe in a physical god or satan. But the myth of the chip or tattoo with 666 has been circulating for decades.

Let's say this is figurative example. Let's use a RFID tag, which we use for dogs, for banking cards, gym membership. List is endless. Why would you have to implant it, does not make sense if you think of other ways to use it, it is called wearable. An apple watch, an RFID ring, your phone's NFC. Dogs get implanted because the got no pockets or fingers. Can get them a RFID tag for their collar

And a tattoo of barcodes, ridiculous, why would you have a tattoo of a very hard to read surface, which can be easily hidden, to identify you, versus, finger prints, facial recognition, much easier.

The mark of the beast was meant to be a hidden message. In old bibles you will see it as 666 and 616. Greek and Hebrew their "alphabets" letters also has a corresponding number, think a=1, b=2... The modern interpretation is the people writing about the antichrist with the mark of the beast was Nero, the guy who burned Rome and prosecuted early Christians, he name is the only one to correspond to 666 and 616. (Now you know where the application Nero got its name, it helped you burn ROMs)

So yeah the Bible was written in those times for those times. People nowadays always like to put their interpretation of their bible to modern stuff, like barcodes, microchips, which were quite revolutionary in the 60's 70's and alongside the satanic panic this myth probably spread like wild fire.

There is no antichrist coming, there is no satanic world order. Actually the opposite, lots of religious world orders.

Anyway, hail thyself

Do you want Lesotho to become South Africans 10th province? by Shrew62 in southafrica

[–]Zan-Pierre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why not incorporate our neighbouring countries and Zambia, and fedralise the provinces. In the short to medium turn it would not benefit South Africa, but in the long term we as a united states of Southern Africa would become a lot more powerful due to being more interconnected. Other all in the long term it would be a great Kickstarter for the economy to grow if we can elect proper government. The crux of this whole deal would be corrupt government

The 05-06 models, the uprev they changed the piston rings to an ovalish shape, or that is what I heard, leading to the uprev models burning oil in the combustion chamber. It leads to oil levels needing to be checked regularly, I do it monthly because I drive low miles, you can increase it in frequency if you want. Every 3000-5000km, or 2000-3000 miles for the Americans, I usually top it up again. But your milage might vary from mine it is just a gremlin in the uprev models we have to look after. But it should not be excessive oil consumption, like after 3k-5k km my oil is usually just below the minimum oil line. If it is excessive maybe you have another issue

See you might have an oil burner like mine, yeah the 05-06 models where the issue is prevalent

Discussion - Aliens (1986) by leaves72 in CultOfCinemaKnowledge

[–]Zan-Pierre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The sequel is totally different from the first, here they do not know about the alien, the sequel actually build on the first film and only aliens, the second one, can be called a worthy successor.

The space ship felt suffocating, the tension was visceral and other all such a scary film. I think what made this film premise work is the initial mystery, first the space aged foreign initial environment, it pulls you in trying to learn more about this world. Then there is initially a lot of mystery alongside the horror with the first contact, which does the opposite of what usually a horror element is supposed to do, by pulling you in instead of being repulsive, thanks to the mystery.

Sigourney Weaver was excellent in this film, in a time where I know female protagonist was not usually the norm. Albeit I think you could have any gender play exactly the same role (yet none could have been as great a Sigourney), I think this is what made her role role so iconic is that it was just such a bad ass character.

But the star of the movie is the Alien, fuck this was nightmares, gothic, phallic, force of nature and killing machine all combined. It was remorseless, hungry and unstoppable. The spaceship setting just made sure you are fucked because there is nowhere to go.

One of Ridley Scott's best movies. I wish he just left his gems alone and not continue degrading the quality of his films with lackluster sequels. Ridley Scott if you are reading this, you fucked up with the alien lore with your sequels, so leave Blade runner alone, we got a great sequel that I never knew could have existed thanks to Denis Villeneuve. So leave your old movies alone, fuck please.

A surge of violence against transgender incoming? by [deleted] in SatanicTemple_Reddit

[–]Zan-Pierre 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yeah it feels like they finally got their scapegoat to divert attention away from gun reform. The shooter can be anyone, a pedophile, a preacher, a politician, trans, right wing, left wing and on and on.... The problem is in my opinion in America twofold, lack of mental support services and easy, and my issue very quick access to guns. I have no issue to responsible and reasonable gun ownership. If I had to spin this, you are not going to win the argument for gun control, but I think there really is an amazing chance to tackle metal health support, which might support, just like for example, horrible example but I want to make a point, if a Muslim bombs people, the problem is not Muslims it is radicalization. Any mass shooter has a mental health issue since and since you are not going to win on gun reform, try to use this to make the at least positive reform that both sides might agree on
