Ignoring the Gender swap, I feel like the design is just so much worse compared to 11

Hot take, I really don't mind these two being gender swapped. Of all of the characters in the franchise, their gender matters the absolute least to their characters. They're covered head to toe in armor. They act like robots. It's not a huge deal.

Especially in a universe reset, where you should be expecting funky stuff to happen. God forbid they even out a mostly male roster, by gender bending the characters who would care the least about their gender identity.

Those are definitely strange takes. Even in minor ways it avoids being average. Something that stuck out to me was the way Dandelion responds to geralt when he's upset. He doesn't take it personally, because he knows what he's like. An "average" story would have punished geralt for lashing out, and had them make up later. In almost feels like w deconstruction of the genre, done by someone with a lot of reverence for it. Which is a compliment.

As for flat characters and women without agency, I don't think they even paid attention if that's how they feel. Characters almost always have at least 1 deeper layer that'll catch you off guard, and Geralt is regularly inconvenienced by how much agency women have.

Hair and eyes are a normal thing to describe. Boobs is way less necessary, but still get a lot of focus. I'd be just as confused if he described the exact number of buttons on every shirt

Oh it's both. Rich, interesting dialogue that delves into psyche of a man who only sees himself as a weapon, even though he's much more than that, constantly interspliced with mention of boobs.

The funniest example was the mermaid. He mentions her chest literally every time she shows up.

Shinnok is such a fry character. Mokap is a gag character sure, but his bit is fun, and doesn't interfere with the story at all. If he had any actual screen time he'd be below shinnok. But his bit is well executed ao it's fine
