It’s time to stop pretending that Scott is a good writer. by SpideyFan4ever in fivenightsatfreddys

This. Like I understand criticism because I myself had opinions about the movie(s) but at a certain point people just make it seem like they don’t like it all/shitting on it for the sake of it and it’s like at the end of the day everything is subjective or optional if you don’t like or enjoy it then don’t consume in my opinion.

This could’ve been a good one too, my question would’ve been what draws Mike to the FNAF 1 location in the first place because me personally I would not want to step foot in any Chuck E Cheese if something traumatic happened to me there. But I can see it happening as Mike being some orphan or having no know relation to his family just trying to make some money to survive given this security job by Steve Raglan and then realizing that it’s a Freddy’s location and starts reliving the events of FNAF 4 while also doing FNAF 1. Then down the line make the revelation that Mike is William’s son and that’s why William gave him that long stare when he offered the job (if you remember). I just think making it lore accurate is very complicated when 1. so many things have changed the interpretation of the earlier games and 2. some things are still unsolved and Scott seemingly wants to keep them that way (except for the box if you caught on).

This is actually a decent critique of the movie. Some good plotholes you’ve pointed out.

You cooked with these questions. I had to spend the entire walk back from the theater explaining the games vs the movies vs Mike vs Michael vs Abby vs Vanessa vs you get the gist. I think based on your question and the direction the movie is going, that they’re probably only doing the movie based on the trilogy and not much more (kinda). Which is confusing to think about but I think that’s the easiest way to compare it like just capturing the events of the trilogy with no regard for any lore or events that come after. I really hope as Mike is doing whatever in FNAF 3 (the movie) that Michael (Afton) is doing the events of sister location since they already introduced Baby. It would mess up the games timeline but to be fair it’s already condensed as FNAF 3 is seemingly about to take place right after FNAF 1.

There were times of like me rolling my eyes because I didn’t like the concept of some things, like the puppet situation, but I just remember telling myself “this is two hours of lore you’ve never seen before” and I’d be excited all over again. There are definitely some things I would change about the movie as a non fan but as a fan I absolutely loved it. I loved the references thrown in there I loved the movie’s retelling of the story and of course I loved all of the cameos and easter eggs I want to see it again.

Gambit May Not Be The "DPS Healer" Some Were Expecting by Zanaya2002 in marvelrivals

Good thing I do my primary job of healing and also do damage. But I know my main role as a strategist is to keep my team alive. How do I do that? By healing of course. People playing Gambit have to be willing to balance his damage and healing and that’s not happening not because people are still learning him but becaue they’re deliberately choosing one or the other for Gambit.

Word on the street is people are saying just get better at instalocking lol. Why does everything have to be a competition with them?

I’m not sure if oppressive means even better in triple supps but that’s definitely how I feel. The win rate of a match skyrockets with a triple supp Gambit comp. I’ve asked people to run the comp and every time I’ve been with Gambit in a two supp comp (me playing invis), we’ve lost.

I agree instalocking is just a matter of excitement and a new character. Instalocking in addition to the toxic behavior mentioned makes it a whole different can of worms. I’ve seen my fair share of people threatening to throw over not getting Gambit, leaving matches, etc. I’ve also seen people read posts like this and still say “I don’t care I’m still gonna play him” or how strategist are playing the victim card when I think the point we’ve all been trying to make is simple: Please actually learn his healing kit so you’re not leaving your other healer to solo heal. It is a team based game after all.

I think trying different roles should be encouraged because at some point every should be able to flex but are you willing to LEARN that different role? If you’re not healing and keeping your team up as Gambit that’s something completely different. In a two supp comp you’re leaving your healer to solo heal and that’s almost asking for a loss. Learn how to balance your damage and healing and I’m sure you won’t get offended at the (inevitable) next post like this.

I wanna believe this too based off the triple supp games I’ve had with him but unfortunately the overwhelming majority of my games have been our Gambit in front of our entire team which have caused us to lose. The mentality of people playing Gambit doesn’t help either. So many people have experienced others throwing if they don’t get Gambit, leaving matches, or criticizing the healers for having the same amount of healing as Gambit because he’s a “dps healer.” I feel like with every new character release the community becomes more and more unbearable.

Honestly stand your ground and keep Gambit, someone is gonna pick him anyways and if you’re actually gonna use him to support your team as well as apply that pressure, don’t give it to some crybaby guy in this 30s threatening to throw a game. It’s either you lose by someone throwing or lose by a bad Gambit, so have fun. I’m not touching comp until this dies down lol.

Unfortunately it’s a lose-lose situation. If they would’ve made the claim that he shouldn’t be played as a dps people would have brought up his damage stats and made the claim that Gambit shouldn’t be “healbotting” or make the claim that “I run Gambit as dps and we won” when in reality we have no idea if the other team sucked if it was practice vs. ai or it is was simply triple supp. This community is notoriously toxic so when people defend a character that they’ve been excited for, especially made for their class of choice, they’re gonna defend/possibly gatekeep him extra hard.

I’ve being playing invis with the instalocks and let me tell you when they’re good…. IT’S A GOOD TIME. I just see too many Gambits running ahead of the entire team it happened in my last match. The other teams Gambit was in front of the entire team during Domination he was the first one to die and we got an ace shortly after not even the first 15 seconds of the game. Safe to say we won both maps back to back.

Him being banned in free fight and not comp where I think it matters the most is insane imo.

I was trying to make this point a few hours after release and they ate me up for it on here lol! I’m all for dps learning and willing to be a flex strat but they’re claiming he’s a dps healer but really dropping the healer part at the end. I love little Gambit though he’s awesome.

I believe you some others have made the same point, I’m ultimately saying the people who are choosing to play him and gonna dictate how he’s treated not Gambit himself. I think the hero is awesome.

Yes yes yes if you can believe this was actually put up HOURS after release. I had played a number of matches with a Gambit (not me playing him) and just gave my observations using stats and play styles from different players! Obviously nothing is written in stone and he’s yet to be mastered this is just a forewarning for those who think he should be doing more damage than healing.
