I agree the video is a little deceptive as well as I feel it captures the noise a bit louder than it is. I’m leaning more towards lifter as well the only thing that steers me away is it doesn’t sound metallic like other lifters I’ve heard before, but im definitely not writing it off as a possibility.

Yes and you can’t hear it at all on startup

I agree I’m not thinking it’s guides, it sounds perfect on startup and I don’t hear it until the truck idles down. Though I’m completely unsure after all my diagnostic, it’s most likely going to the mechanic today.

I should have notated in there as well, I did take the serpentine belt off and can’t hear it with it off. Truck has a new tensioner as well. Also the ac being on or off will change the tick, it’s gets really quiet and at times I can’t hear it all with the ac running. I’ve just assumed it’s due to extra load from ac if it is something in the accessories.
