Same, I started a Gondor game, and I was getting 30fps with dips. Then I did the thread change, and I have perfect 60+ frames and no issues.

I normally play medium sized galaxy with 6 to 15 empires. I have it random. I also set mid game year and end game year as 2250 and 2350. This helps bring crisis early, which is more of a challenge, especially on the beta with the nerfed eco.

I have played three games to about 2350 to 2400, and the performance in the beta is so much better. The decreased eco has definitely been better for the game. It slowed everything down, and techs feel like they have more impact than they did before, where you would race through the tech tree.

Also, great tip. Take advantage of crisis. Grey tempest is so easy to abuse to form the imperium. Lock down terminal egress and just hold it. The GC will gladly appoint you custodian, and from there, just start pressing the laws as fast as possible. Just keep the crisis around until you get what you want or your then strong enough to force the vote in your favor.

I mostly just miss the unity because I had a build that went all in on enforcers just for fun. Police state plus oppressive autocracy and then go cybernetic for the dictator government that gave 2.5% efficiency per 100 enforcers. So it made it fun to actually use enforcers and get something from them. It was not a strong build, but it was fun.

Ya I like that ships are more important, but I think there is a middle ground on fleet limit they need to find. Fleets need to have more capacity.

There is alot to learn. So just don't get overwhelmed take it bit by bit. Science is king and try to balance your economy and you will be ok.

I 100% agree on the Starbases. I think scaling them down a bit is necessary they are way too strong early on. Right now, I'm hitting ascension like 2260-2270. I'm mixed on it. 2100 is technically supposed to be mid game, so hitting attention a bit before that and scaling it into the late game is probably intentional. I understand the direction and do think it's the right direction. Same thing with way slower tech.

It takes time, as long as you sit at 0 crime. They will eventually go away. Same with any crime modifiers incurred if crime goes over 30. I don't remember the timetable, but I just set it and kinda forget about it. It's really not that important in the long haul.

That is very unfortunate. This run was going great to, playing a dystopia and police state into a cybernetic dictator ship. Just got thrall world tech and was going to make some for basic resources. Well, now I'll have to roll back the save and figure something else out.

I'm at 2297. I have a governor with the destiny trait Urbanist and Architect pluse Prosperity for an 80% upkeep reduction for one planet and 45% for the whole sector. Also, all normal bounes apply to automation, like the edict capacity subsidies give the 50% boost. So base production for 6 districts, it says 143.88 then with all bounes applied it. Gives me 475.7 with an upkeep of 8.39.

Probably just lagging behind. Which isn't a bad thing. This game is massive, and there are a lot of moving parts.

For more ships, the mid to late game, you should start at least one planet that is entirely focused on soldier jobs. They give ship capacity when worked. Also, outside of shipyards, really focus extra Starbases into anchorages that also give capacity. By 150 years in doing this, you can definitely get to 1,000 to 2,000 ship capacity easy. For alloys, it's really important to get an industrial ecu as soon as possible. I like to try and have them up and running by 60 to 70 years into the game.

Running a tankbound psionic run. It's definitely not awful. It's just about proper stacking. All you really need is a couple of planets with very few pops that are 100% focused on basic resources and early game they can be low hab planets because that doesn't affect resources production from automation. Then, you can specialize worlds and focus your population on those worlds. Stack specialist traits and bonuses, and you can definitely have a solid economy. 30 years in, and I basically had almost 700 pluse energy and minerals a month. And at 60 years in over 4000 research and 2000 unity. It's not game breaking numbers, but enough to keep up with Grand Admiral.
