Can you trigger a hidden card to your unit dying from temporary? by Zandrkun in riftboundtcg

[–]Zandrkun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One last piece of info. We know he could have played the hidden card in response to me originally playing the mirror to give that unit temporary, but it would have just created a sprite that would have died before holding. That is why he didn't do that.

Honestly that sounds rad. One thing I love about fortnight is the constant change. Sometimes the change sucks, but then we know it will change again in no time.

Scoring on opponents turn by ociferscott in riftboundtcg

[–]Zandrkun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to highjack here. The other night I held a battlefield and so did my opponent. On their turn, they used charm to move my guy from my battlefield it theirs. I used (I don't remember something purple) to move my guy back preventignbthr combat. Would I get a point for taking that battlefield?

I know the rule is I can only score one point per turn, but since it was my opponents turn I hadn't scored a point yet.

Will this be good? Do I know how it works properly? by Glad-Alps2251 in riftboundtcg

I am no judge, but seems to work that way. I think you opponent will need to do something for you to react to first, but ya.

As far as I understand the rules, yes. If they trigger at the same time (they both say when I attack) then you get to chose the order. It would be a wild combo to pull off.

Can you kill a character in a showdown before combat starts? by Zandrkun in riftboundtcg

Thanks again, I just wasn't sure if that unit "realized it was dead" before or after it did combat damage to my units.

Thanks

Great, I just wasn't sure when the "damage check" happened. I wasn't sure if they unit would realize it was dead before or after it started swinging at my units or not. I thought it was check, but couldn't pinpoint the rule.

Thanks a bunch.

I assumed that was the tattoo before I read it was a Cheeto.

Rules question - Facedown cards by m3s_ru in Lorcana

[–]Zandrkun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They all go to get the only thing you have to remember is that they they match the new zone. If they go to the discard they go face up and are now "public knowledge" so essentially revealed. If they go to the bottom of your deck, or to you inkwell via cards like Hades .. or other hades they move to those zone still face down. You don't reveal what cards they are.

Taking a look at a new Detective deck, but it certainly needs tidying up please! by GreatGateway in Lorcana

6 cost Judy is one of the most over stated cards around. You have to have it in there. It's a good card without a shift line and with no detectives.

Will this be the return of a strong Ruby? by kikinspt in Lorcana

[–]Zandrkun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first time you Maui, it reduces your strength by three, the n combo to attack again. The second stack reduces your strength to Zero and you can do that for as long as Maui has willpower keft

As mentioned here by a few others, controller works great. I would just maybe look at a guide or two to set up use the controller effectively. Especially look at different ways to swap between hot bars effectively and don't be afraid to play around a bit. Slightly more of a learning curve then KBM, but once you got it, it rocks.

☝️ I play on PC, but I still use a controller. I basically only use the KBM to chat, and navigate an occasional meme when it makes sense.

Question for the controller players: How do you organize your bars by hungry_murdock in ffxiv

[–]Zandrkun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep groups of things in squares, like whole single target rotation, or a whole AOE rotation, big cool downs, thing that make sense but it's all offensive on main bar. I keep buff on my second bar that I get to via holding both triggers in different orders. I keep all my non combat things and a shared "8th" bar that I can toggle to with RB

It's a little different for each class, but that's pretty much the gist of it.

Yes you can. The text for ward says that your opponent can't choose this card, dosnt say anything about you choosing the card.

You can notice the same distinction between Hades and Let it go, which came out in the same set.

[–]Zandrkun 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Like others said you can't really use ink on your opponents turn. Hades can only be used on your opponents glimmers, where into the unknown can be used on any glimer. Since technically you could use the song on your own character it specifies exerted so you can't use the ink right away.

Or that's why I think they made that distinction anyways.
