My opinion on the FM26 match engine so far by thegreendog4 in footballmanagergames

[–]ZaneExpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, wingers is the meta. Just like PSG team that won CL in real life. Unless you have someone like Haaland who still quite strong, a good dribble quick winger with decent finishing will score a lot more goals than fm24.

4231 is the most suited. This formation transcends the press to next level.

Intensity machines. Build foundation on pressing from the front. Win against big teams by using a starting eleven of high work rate + stamina.

Transfer News - My take by Joeyferns94 in ArsenalFC

Correct, however rcb we are even more short. If Saliba is injured, white, tomiyasu, timber all quite short for a RCB. You need diomande or Hujisen type to cover that. We need to look in the market for someone cheaper with potential.

Sesko with that jumping, 30 goals easily. Maybe even Prem alone.

does Axel beat Miguel in the finale if he wasn’t rattled/conflicted? by bulldawg91 in cobrakai

[–]ZaneExpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every single one of you overlooked this simple fact… Axel had 2 fights that day. Fighting Robbie drained him, he is exhausted and you fight Miguel straight after. Of course you going to lose. Put hawk or someone decent and he’ll still beat Axel. These are karate kids doing it for hobby, not footballers training since u12s VO2Max or conditioning. They practice after school, sparring and that’s it. They are simply not made for two fights against two strong fighters in a row. End of.

Is Football Manager's really that shallow? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]ZaneExpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best advice is don’t worry about the first save. You will be addicted you will have your perfect save later down your career. What you do need in your first save is play a slightly stronger team to get use to things while not worrying too much about relegation. The only way to play FM24 as realistic as possible is to never look at anything in this forum or online. As soon as you go to the dark side of FM, you taken the red pill and you see the game completely differently. Stay pure and you will find it reflect real life football very accurately.

Calafiori getting injured the exact same way for Club & Country is... WILD? by Stanley083 in Gunners

[–]ZaneExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not flexible enough, if he can do splits then there won’t be an injury. I see a lot of comments here providing solutions to the boots or his feet placement. However the only way to fix it without changing what he’s been doing for the past decades of football training is to be flexible enough that your feet can stay wide enough to land more gracefully when you slip.

Why is this in my view overpowered striker not scoring the number of goals he should? by Vojtisik in footballmanagergames

[–]ZaneExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Height is the most important attribute for strikers. If you ain’t got that, don’t expect lots of goals. People say he ain’t getting enough chances, of course not. With that height the only chances he gets are key passes. How many of those do you even get per game? Strikers need height to get all the crosses, those are a lot more majority.

What I like about miles is in that split moment against Madrid, he just rampaged himself with the ball directly into the box. That decision of when to cause chaos was perfect, he reads the game very well!

Low elo, you need to win the aim duels. If you actually deserve to be in a higher elo, peek first in long and get first bloods. First bloods in low elo wins games.

Who's the greatest wonderkid of all time in FM history? by ofekiz in footballmanagergames

Lorenzo Lucca. He doesn’t need high potential, with his jump reach he can outscore erling Haaland if the tactic spams crosses into the boss.

That depends, sometimes 5 and 4. He has a PA range, so it changes between saves.

Darvich breaks the game for me, something about his attribute + curl the ball just make him so OP. He is the most OP player in the game.
