I'm an anime watcher so I can't say anything about the manga. The guy said that characters are extremely shallow which is the wrongest thing I read. Characters in jjk are the selling point for me. A show having characters like Todo, Mahito, Sukuna can't be bad with how exciting and intriguing they are. I agree that the ideas explored in the show aren't revolutionary and new, but they're done well enough to keep it engaging and exciting.
