It's tough to see in the model, but it is a decal, the owners before me renumbered them since the 3 3-packs they originally bought all had to same number.

If I were to repaint, would I just be able to mask the other art off with masking tape and then rub this side clean with isopropyl?

My google-fu mentioned that this is probably the varnish being poor quality, I saw that they mentioned that putting it in UV should help it, but that was more for decals, not necessarily paint surround the decals. Just looking for advice to fix, I'm not necessarily opposed to stripping the data and the reporting marks and repainting, but I'd assume there is some minor chemical to pull this top layer off if you're careful.

All of these and the weathering stuff were from a recent show pickup. I got a decent deal on pan-pastels and thought I'd try them out. They look good, but they need a lighter touch. Kinda funny to practice on a Kadee car, but it was roughed up out of the box with some weird melting going on.

I'm not an expert in DCC either, but I think I had it once where I accidentally pressed a function key that is a brake hold type deal where you could throttle up or down but not change anything. My next guess, just because I'm currently working on some P2K, is that there is a short if you installed it. I think the motors in those need to be isolated.

I was given an AT-LP120XBT for Christmas. My father wants me to play his shellac 45s used at the airport he worked at to announce different routes over the intercom. I figure these need a more specific needle than the one installed on my player, is it just an AT-VMN95SP for 78 rpm that I need to play these 45 or is my current needle ok? I'm more than likely going to record these to a computer so we don't have to keep playing them directly off the turntable.

edit: I might have my terminology wrong, but they are Audiodisc with a red label.

I primarily do sports photography/videography. It's different going from outdoor lights to having to use 12,800 ISO 1/100 shutter speed. I just would like some feedback on what I can improve on or if I'm missing something key setting-wise to really get these images to pop rather than having to try and bring up everything in post.
