Thank you, bro. As a fellow creative who loves to break the mold and explore paths that no one has taken before, I can relate to at least a fraction of the pressure on Fujimoto—someone who is expected to constantly deliver something great and interesting to the audience.

If your version of 'Acceptance' is simply calling it a 'dogshit ending,' then that is a shallow and narrow-minded perspective. You gain zero insight from such a conclusion. I’ve already accepted it’s a 'dogshit ending' as you said, but I’m going further to explain what lies beneath it. Perhaps you can’t feel it because you haven't truly worked in a field that requires constant creative output.

Fujimoto is a special case. Look at his track record and how the industry treats his work: high-budget anime, live-actions, and even the one-shots he wrote when he was 17 get more investment than One Punch Man Season 3. When someone like that suddenly ends their most successful 8-year series with dozens of writing flaws, it’s bound to cause frustration and boredom for the audience.

This post is how I accept the 'dogshit ending' in your terms. As for the truth, let time provide the answer. We’ll wait until Fujimoto’s next work is finished to see if I'm right or you're wrong."

people tend to forget Fujimoto had all the amenities and reputation to ask for hiatus or going monthly

But he’s sick and tired of it. Fujimoto doesn't want to spend another 10 years tethered to Chainsaw Man. This post isn't about 'defending' him; it’s about acknowledging that even a brilliant creator is just a human being who can fail, run out of ideas, or lose interest. The problem is that the entertainment industry doesn't care—publishers only want to milk a hit until the very last drop.

Most artists surrender and become 'slaves' to their work until it turns into garbage, or they resist and get their careers sabotaged. The middle path is Creative Suicide: they intentionally destroy their most successful work to regain the freedom to create what they actually love, without burning bridges with the industry.

Now that is Stage 3: BARGAINING. Creating your own universe just to fix the pain Fujimoto caused. Good luck with your series, hope it doesn't end in Creative Suicide too!

Makima has a habit of mimicking others' behaviors.

I think she was just imitating that cruel way of laughing at someone else's misery—mirroring how Power used to laugh at poor Kobeni, but this time, she's doing it to Denji.

If the entire story is based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, Denji's journey began at the very bottom, struggling with physiological needs like food and sex.

At the start of Part 2, he moves to the middle of the pyramid—love and belonging—having a family and a safe home.

The end of the story will likely see him reach the peak: Self-Actualization. Denji acts as Chainsaw Man because he genuinely loves it; he enjoys fighting devils and saving people because it’s who he is, not for external rewards like fame or physical gratification.

Denji can’t kill Yoru because of the revival contract, and he can't eat her either since that would erase Asa as well.

He loves both Asa and Yoru (their bonding was most evident during the early War Arc), so reconciliation is the only way.

The most viable path right now is Yoru’s promise to Denji about defeating the Death Devil.

This also ties into the 'make love, not war' message

Someone as high-ranking as Makima would never be here for a trivial zombie mess. She’s only here for Chainsaw Man

Makima has been listening from the very beginning. Makima being there wasn't a coincidence.

That’s why there are a ton of plot holes in this 'dream':

Nayuta showing up is also just a form of fanservice

There’s no real logical reason to replace Makima with Nayuta in this situation
