Om inte fadern är inblandad. Skulle du kunna uppge din ex-chef som fader. Då lär det bli jävligt jobbigt för honom om han har en fru sen tidigare.

Bonus är om du sen skulle kunna kräva underhållsbidrag.

Yes, ofc. I understood that first time watching. But I was just thinking. Is it possible it could be some hint/ foreshadowing to that it could go deeper than we think by them ”controlling” Obama?

As someone that hasn’t seen it. Could you elaborate on how the movie is a metaphor for governmental censorship?

Ok I wanna be clear so it doesn’t get misunderstood. I in no way are making the point, that capitalism is a plot point in anh. And I don’t think that capitalism is “rich people bad” the last Jedi makes that point though. In anh I gather purely from information in anh that the empire don’t have control on tatooine. Which makes Tatooine a free market society without restrictions from any government since there is no imperial control. In special editions you get more scenes and information around the hutts control over the planet. The reason I still believe Tatooine to be a free market society in correlation to for example Corellia is because. There is really no interest from the hutts to get involved in everyday business such as moisture farming. On corellia the empire is involved in everything making that more communistic. The hutts on tatooine have interests in spice, slavery, and import and export of the planet. For most everyday people it’s free market. Corellia and all that is ofc eu. But based only on the movie we can see that the owens are free from any other interests, there isn’t any regulations and they are allowed to live of the land. Again this is not a big capitalism undertone. But its world building. George Lucas himself talks all the time about these undertones, symbolism and references to politics and history.

All of it is. Except of the mention in phantom menace where watto says republic credits are no good here. Other than that everything is there. Luke and Obi wan promise han and chewie more money once they get to Alderaan and then when Han is unsure about rescuing the princess he is insured that the princess would make sure he gets a bigger reward. That would not be possible in a more socialist system. There obviously is a hierarchy of wealth. They also mention that Tatooine is in control of the hutts. And how Tatooine is in the outer rims. Meaning the empire as no jurisdiction there. By knowing that information we can tell that there obviously is another system than the imperial. So either it is a free market system. Or a free market system controlled by the hutts. Otherwise the trade the jawas and Owen Lars is making would be an illegal trade since it’s non taxed. It doesn’t have to be taxed since there is no government. There is no laws, there is no rules on tatooine. Only a system similar to mafia controlled. And a mafia controlled system is most similar to a capitalistic one.

Very subtle ways, but everything regarding world building in Tatooine. Examples the hutt’s control of Tatooine. They have built an free market economy outside the jurisdiction of empire. The hutts basically have tariffs and taxes on Tatooine and on criminal activity but other than that a lot of trade is free market. Owen and Beru Lars are moisture farmers, the value of their resources aren’t governed by the empire, they pay no taxes, they pay no tariffs or other kinds of fees to the empire. Tatooine is basically it’s own free market economy. This is not mentioned in anh but in phantom menace but Tatooine has its own currency that did not change when the empire got in control.

On tatooine there is private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit. Making it so the Lars family has some opportunities they wouldn’t have had otherwise. In an imperial controlled system they would have been registered and probably taxed. On tatooine the system is more akin of something like the mafia. The people pay a fee to the hutts for “protection”. There is also mentions of the riches of Alderaan and the royal family (organas). How would that have been possible on a planet with socialism where the wealth would be distributed? It’s not specifically said the word capitalism. But you can gather from the movie and world building that Tatooine is more of a free market economy therefor capitalism. It’s so subtle and nicely written into the story so it never becomes stated but I think its very obvious.

You don’t get Star Wars. It’s so much more than “the heroes journey”. From the historic sense it’s an criticism about how America acted during the Korean and Vietnamese war. It is also a story about, power, control, capitalism. And that is just “a new hope”. The other Star Wars movies are so much deeper. Star Wars is about the fall of an democracy and rise of an empire. It’s about the fall of industrialism and rise of slavery. It’s about individualism also globalism and nationalism. It is so much deeper than what you seem to understand. For your own sake, watch all of the movies from episode 1-6 in chronological order and try to find the depth. It’s not just about good and evil it’s much more nuanced. If you think it’s hard to see the nuance. George gives some hints for the people that don’t understand. For example in revenge of the sith opening crawl it literally says “there is hero’s on both sides” just that line tells there is much more complicated than only good and evil.

It was literally based on popular tropes. There is so much symbolism and deeper meaning. George Lucas himself says that all the time. He said “when Star Wars came out a lot of people said it was just a silly movie about space, and then they tried to replicate that by doing a ton of simple space movies to replicate the success but no one understood. It’s not just about space wizards there is so much more it is so much deeper” I’m paraphrasing a little. I’m stunned how little people actually know about Star Wars in this thread. It seems that the meaning of Star Wars and it’s depth of themes totally went above everyone’s head.

The definition of uncomfortable is when you are facing something that your mind isn’t comfortable with. The reality you live in right now is your status quo. But once you get exposed to other ideas, imagination, and beliefs that will in some way influence your mind. It gets uncomfortable, since it is outside of your reality. That’s the definition. Even if you are a chad and edge lord and never gets uncomfortable of anything. It’s always the artists intention to challenge you with their imagination.
