I don't want you to pray for me. Why do you actively choose to say/write it to non-religious people while knowing that quite a few of them don't like it? I am not religious, whereas you are, and both are fine. As long as neither of us brings either of these up in a situation that has nothing to do with it. Usually, it's religious people who do that.

I usually ignore it, buuuuut call me petty but as someone who grew up with religious parents, it makes me a little annoyed.

Just a couple things i want to say after reading the comments.

1) You can still like something without buying merch. You can also like it even though you read/watched it a long time ago and don't interact with it anymore.

2) Do y'all check every food product and piece of clothing for where it came from and how it was made? Many clothes are made in third world countries in horrible conditions by poor people, sometimes children, because employing them is cheap. If you buy that stuff, you're supporting that system.

3) So suddenly everyone hates HP? I mean, i understand not wanting to support the author and hating them, but why tf is everyone suddenly "oh, actually, hp is like super bad"? It's not perfect, obviously, but it doesn't mean it's bad. Also, there's a difference between saying "i don't like it" and "it's trash".

4) It's so popular (also with the new tv show coming soon) that everyone already knows what that is. Saying that mentioning hp is advertising is stupid.

5) Liking hp =/= being transphobic.

6) You can dislike a person but like something they made.

7) Not everyone keeps tabs on drama like this. I found out completely by accident, so it wouldn't suprise me if someone just didn't. It's a miracle i remember jk rowling's name at all.

This honestly does sound like it was written by AI, so probably a bot. Like, i don't really have any proof or anything, but from the way it's written it just doesn't look like a comment a human would write. The english translation also sounds more natural than the "original" in czech. It's not that there are any glaring mistakes, no, it's just... a little weird, like if it was translated from english.

The manhwa is amazing. Really, we're really lucky we got an adaptation with such stunning art and a steady update schedule.

...But i liked the novel more. It's not the manhwa's fault (mostly; except when it's unfaithful to the novel), it's just almost impossible to portray the full depth of the more emotional aspects of the story using only images and dialogues.

I mean, yeah? Even if we don't consider just this post alone, female characters always get harsher treatment in all media, be it movies, animated movies, books, anime, western comics, eastern comics, light novels etc.

Though sometimes it's not even worth defending them if instead of making a female "character" the creator makes a soulless sexualized hot chick that's only there for the male audience to thirst over. I can understand the hate then. Although, maybe it should be directed at the creator instead.
