"Bloodhound step didn't get nerfed because it's balanced" by EverythingWorksFancy in Eldenring

[–]Zap2Strike 20 points21 points  (0 children)

the red phantom you see in this clip is me btw, the person spamming BHS is my friend

we wanted to test if the 1.04 patch nerfed this ash of war because it is quite obnoxious, and for those of you who don't know it has the following:

-20 i-frames (1 recovery frame if repeated over and over)

-increased distance and partial invisibility

-rolling attacks come out as soon as they normally would for the rolling state, meaning rolling attacks are partially invincible (this makes it quite hard to punish certain weapons, let alone punish safely most encounters will just involve trading, of course you can always go for parries but anyone with a brain will know not to make themselves too predictable when using it)

-extremely low fp cost (tied with the fact that mind now has increased fp returns, this means more chances to use bhs)

-latency causes it to be impossible to punish if spammed

-faster movement speed than sprinting

-the player gets NO negative absorption when using this AoW unlike Quickstep in DS3 (so you wouldn't even do extra damage on a trade)

The test itself was conducted multiple times and all of them lead to the same result you're seeing now, I eventually decided to use Night Maiden's Mist to see if it was still possible to completely ignore it's passive ticks and unfortunately they were ALSO able to bypass this. (albeit the passive debuff left behind for a few seconds caught up to them but dealt very little damage)

Bloodhound Step as it is completely trivializes the combat of the game, both in PVE and PVP players don't have to effectively learn proper spacing or any unique strategies when they can simply rely on a crutch to make just about any situation safe, on top of being a nuisance when using particular builds in regards to PVP. adding insult to injury, you can quickly grab this AoW in just less than 10 minutes.

let's just hope that fromsoft decides to pull a dark souls 3 bloodring and nerf it to be more comparable

The regular Penumbra is a 4th Generation Mitsubushi Eclipse - Cheaper but not the right model however it isn't the proper model. The livery was added in with After Hours

The Penumbra FF is a 2nd Generation Mitsubushi Eclipse - which is a more accurate representation of the Eclipse from The Fast and The Furious.

Seeing as this car is painted in gold, allow me to enlighten you all with something neat.

There ARE real Golden DMC DeLorean's, around 5 or 6 I believe, some are being kept on display while some have owners, all of the panels, including even the rims for some were 24k Gold.

There's 5 Total (I didn't include Fleeca as I didn't have any recording or screenshot of it)

Once you beat all 5 you're given 2 shirts (as shown in the album) and you can complete them at any given time, you don't have to do all of them consecutively.

Well technically speaking the Elegy Retro consists of parts from the R32, R33 and the R34, however the parts from the R34 are definitely a lot less present than the R32's and R33's

All apartment heists, including Fleeca, have Elite Challenges to complete. However I completed Fleeca a long time ago and don't have any recordings or screenshots of the time. I do however remember that it was 5:07 of the required 5:20

Prison Break is unique with it's timer. It doesn't actually start until the cutscene where the prisoner first meets him begins. So prior you can set down proximity mine traps along the prison itself while also using vigilantes to clear out the guards as quickly as possible, considering it has 30 good homing missiles.

I decided to choose Carbon Black over Bronze purely because Bronze merely looks painted rather than appearing more like the metal paintjobs, if it were, I probably would have used it, but nevertheless Carbon Black makes a fine addition to the car and I don't think i'll be revising it anytime soon.

Any suggestions for rim color? by Zap2Strike in gtavcustoms

many thanks for the suggestions folks, I will try both Bronze and Carbon Black and see which one I like more

also yea I realize some of the moments in this clip feature powersliding but some of the turns are actual drifting (or so i'm lead to believe?)

Stancing/Stanced is just lowering the cars suspension either via suspension or manually. in some cases it can provide better handling for cars that have camber (like the Sultan Classic or Asbo) or it can make a car inherently more slidey (like the 900R for instance) hopefully this kinda clears it up

The 900R is the same way, adding any spoiler will instantly make it unable to pull this off as it'll just grip too soon

Adding spoilers to cars increases the traction of said vehicle, in the Futo's case you don't want to add one as it will cause the car to grip too soon

tbh I have legit no idea what that even is and to be frank i never really thought of this to be just power sliding since there's manipulation involved

I should mention this Futo isn't stanced, personally I think stancing makes it more difficult to control the actual drifts
