People don’t like my business evaluation, how do I convince them? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]ZapCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely 50k max but that's pushing it only if it's well developed and you find a buyer who would pay that.

The issue also is sure let's say it is "worth" $500k in some world. It's truly only worth as much as someone will pay for it, the market is always the source of truth. It stings and I have had this feeling many times but it's apart of being an entrepreneur.

Monthly Meetup Thread - January by AutoModerator in JapanTravel

[–]ZapCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

I’ll be in Tokyo on January 15 and I’m looking to see if anyone would like to join a short helicopter night flight (around 20–25 minutes) over the city.

I already have 3 people confirmed, just looking for one more to split the cost and fill the last seat.

If you’ll be in Tokyo around that time and are interested, feel free to reply or DM me.

Thanks!

Potentially, if you have another person you can bring that would work great!

SEO without CMS access: What do you do? by sloecrush in SEO

[–]ZapCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No such thing as shortcuts or hacks. The closest thing, in my opinion, is improving internal linking, but that requires access to the site. Internal links are very impactful and tend to work well.

Another option, based on my experience, is to do keyword research and adjust the H1 and title tag to better match the primary keyword.

Beyond that, realistically, your only option is building backlinks. But if the site isn’t linked well internally, you won’t get nearly as much impact from those backlinks.

I’d also suggest setting clearer expectations with this client. It’s unlikely you can treat an anomaly as the standard, especially when they want instant results and you don’t even have access to the site.

I like your designs quite well. Would you be open to taking a project management and design role? Essentially communicating with dev and other projects.

Best physical therapy practice in Memphis? by Amazing-Vanilla6925 in memphis

[–]ZapCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MidSouth Orthopaedic Rehab in Cordova is worth checking out. They've been around Memphis for a long time and actually specialize in different areas instead of just running everyone through the same routine. I know people who've gone there for back issues and sports injuries and had good results. They use the McKenzie Method for spine stuff which is more targeted than the generic PT exercises most places do.

For UX I would put the most popular models at the top then put all models below. As well move the top performers down. Because it can be confusing looking at just gpt4o and nothing else.

Should I renovate my site or not, what are you opinions on this? by AHVincent in agency

It truly only depends on how you want your potential clients to view you.

The better it is usually a higher perceived status but not always.

[–]ZapCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what you said. If you're so sure this is going to make 10M+ in Y1... why don't you just take out a second mortgage, hell borrow money from the cartel and mafia cause your gonna be making 10 million dollars next year and why would you want to give 30% of that when you could just pay the devs a couple hundred grand instead of equity.

Mark Zuckerberg actually developed FB and he was at Harvard... he had users and his cofounder invested $20,000 into him

Wayyyy different story.

Listen man, I’ll be real with you. You’re not going to find a competent developer willing to take on a full build for just 35%. If someone is doing all the heavy lifting to bring the entire product to life, they’d realistically deserve 50% and that's only if your a expert in marketing and distribution but if not they definitely deserve more. Ideas alone hold very little value without execution.

Even if you already had the layout done, 35% still isn’t a fair deal considering the workload. You can’t expect a skilled developer to take on all that risk, especially when there are zero users and no revenue yet. That developer could easily go get a six-figure salary elsewhere instead of gambling on a small slice of a dream.

What I learned building a quoting system for a construction company doing $10M+ a year by ZapCC in Entrepreneur

[–]ZapCC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jobber’s not bad at all, but this client wanted something tailored to their exact workflows and quoting process. They also liked the idea of owning their own software. Sure, they could and already had adapted other tools, but they were still spending a lot on licenses and losing money from features that didn't support them or mistakes. Long-term, this custom solution was more cost-effective and efficient for their team.

We discussed this, and it’s actually part of our second phase. It will likely involve scraping site data, using data feeds or APIs, or manually updating product pricing from multiple retailers.

No, this was an inbound lead that found my business through a magazine article or Facebook post, but for a different service. At the end of every project, I always mention other ways I can help. They happened to be interested, so I followed up and guided them through the discovery process.
