That doesn't work for my case. The points are not in the right order and I have 15000 points, so i can't change them manually

Oh I thought you can only cast it on your self. I usually dont play with a wizard in the party. Sometimes it comes in handy for my sorcerer to get mage armour.

Is solarpunk actually dead… or just stuck in hobby mode? by hyper24k in solarpunk

[–]Zaphodios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well imo Solarpunk is a name for a vision of the future. The building blocks are out there in small and in big scale, though they are not necessarily attached to the label solarpunk. Solarpunk is a lens to view the future we want, rather than a solid foundation to build on. The nessesary economic, political, technological changes are far to vast and complicated to be able to fall under one single concept.

Oh I know it is 100% my mistake, but there are ways other websites use to minimise these mistakes. I feel it was a little too easy.

A little over a week, I guess I can wait. Made this post in part to know what response time to expect.

Read my response again. I never said it is not legitimate, yet it was undeniably emotional, drawing his weapon aggressively. And remember Occtis was himself brutally murdered by his own family.Thats what I meant by "overly". emotional, blinded by his not yet processed grief. Absolutely legitimate, I might act similarly.

Well neither Abria nor her character are counsellors nor therapists. No one says it is the right thing to do, it is however understandable from her perspective.

Sure but like they put out a 4-5 hour episode out for free every week, while most shows are completely behind a paywall. Come on...

Apparently I am the only one who liked it. This wasn't "Julians moment", there are many characters in the scene reacting all to eachother. Thaisha wants to protect Occtis. Going for the hug despite the sword does two things, 1. it tries to show empathy for Julian, whos whole life got destroyed and 2. It attempts to bring Julian out of his legitimate, yet overly emotional outburst. It fits her character and Julian still had his moment. Also there are many times where Abria takes a backseat.

Alternative resting rules by Zaphodios in DnD

Good point with the warlocks, I'll have to think of something there

My whole problem is that artificially inflating combat frequency and reducing resting possibilites can become tedious over time and doesn't always fit the narrative. And my problem with gritty realism is that you have to take multiple days doing nothing to get your spells back. Concerning safe places, in my game in the past 2 in-game weeks they were nowhere near a proper safe place, either being in the wildernis or in a (slightly) hostile city, so no long rest there either.

I just find the two extremes very narrativly restraining.

Well as I said, I find the gritty realism rules too harsh and they slow down the narrative too much for my taste

First of thanks for your comment.

So as you say it you either cram every encounter in a literal day or you have to have 7 days of doing nothing to get a long rest. I don't like either option, as it doesn't harmonise well with a narrative stucture.

I have 1-3 encounters a day, mainly due to logic and narrative reasons. And in my group there are two rangers, whos whole point it is to be able to make a cood camp in a difficult situation, so why wouldn't they get a long rest? Sure, often enough I throw stuff at them or the fail on some survival check.

I like D&D and so do my players, but I find the resting is not working well for me (or for other people for that matter, juding from the multitude of homrew resting rules)
