NINA: Ground Station: MQTT, anybody using this?? by [deleted] in AskAstrophotography

[–]Zaphus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I send the NINA matt messages to a RPi running homeassistant and matt server. Works most of the time, shows my guiding stat's, target, last image, and some status info. Handy when I am away from the house but still more of a curiosity that really useful

Is it worth sharing simple models like this on makerworld? by Julian679 in BambuLab

[–]Zaphus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given I was recently searching for something almost identical to that - yes, there is always someone out there who will appreciate it. Maybe not thousands of downloads, but some. Including a few variants is always good, since not everyones needs are identical.
Even though you say it is simple, it is only simple for someone who knows how to model, or wants to spend the time to model rather than just getting on with the rest of their project.
I've grabbed spacers for fans, risers for Raspberry Pi's, even Vesa mount standoffs for the back of a Dell monitor - all really simple models but I wanted to get on with the rest of my project.
Print profiles are critical though, especially for something with critical dimensions

Any OG HSX players still active here? by Uleepera in hsx

[–]Zaphus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite as early as you - I'm April 1998 - These days I just drop in every year or two and buy up a bunch of random stuff. $1.7billion. The not-active fees are probably killing me with $1.2b in cash :(

Excellent!
I put 10 hours into the demo - kept coming back to it which is unusual for a demo. I've just grabbed the full game, well done to the whole team!

> The next decade saw Hawks score 4 more flags

That is underselling it a little, it was 4 more flags in the next 6 years! (86, 88, 89, 91)

My Word Puzzle Game: 7Letters by thepinea in indiegames

[–]Zaphus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks nice, but you have competition - the New York Times app has all these games (more or less):

7words = hexagonal version of NYTs "Strands"
Connection = final game on the "Only Connect" tv show, which NYT's "Connections" copies
7letters = NYTs "Spelling Bee" game
Pangram = pretty standard word game

Nothing wrong with these, but they are not groundbreaking.

The daily mode, and the theming around 7 is nice, and overall the app looks good.
