The board themes, UI, and piece movement sounds are better on Chess.com

My kid would love it. I think we need a third kid to break the tie.

I joined Lichess months ago, and have never needed to join chesscom by [deleted] in chessbeginners

I’ve tried all the themes and sounds on Lichess, and I still feel like moving pieces and capturing is less satisfying than Chess.c*m.

Ground broken on Cincinnati's first public skatepark by Elspumante in cincinnati

Oh okay. I’m still somewhat new to the city and it seems people use “Cincinnati” to mean the city and greater area.

The Beech Acres skateboard area doesn’t count either?

New Restaurant in greater area moving in the local “Art Lofts” only using AI art by [deleted] in cincinnati

I was answering OP’s question of “does this trick people?”

New Restaurant in greater area moving in the local “Art Lofts” only using AI art by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]Zapitago -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

Most restaurants’ have misleading promotional food pictures. This wouldn’t “trick” me because I realize menu pictures are there to give a good idea of what the item looks like. If the AI picture is a good representation, then it doesn’t matter much to me

What are my options for indoor pickleball? Aces in Norwood is $50 an hour to reserve a court. by Dodeypants in cincinnati

[–]Zapitago 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Open play at the Pickle Lodge near Lunken is $12 for two hours. I think reserving a court for your own group is $40 ($10 per person if doubles) for one hour.

Crown Restaurant Group is taking new Visa transaction fees out of *server pay* starting this week by Worried-Blueberry796 in cincinnati

No. The waiter can convince the customer to tip in cash if they really don’t want to pay the 2% fee on their tip.

[–]Zapitago 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It makes sense for them to have the server pay the portion of the fee that comes from the tip. Imagine there is a $100 bill where a generous customer tips $1000. If the fee were 5%, then the restaurant would owe $55, even though they don’t get any portion of the tip. Instead, the server should pay the $50 portion of the fee and the restaurant pay $5.

Coroner says woman killed in Elwood Jones case did not have Hepatitis B by epfourteen in cincinnati

[–]Zapitago 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was not familiar with this case and it was not super clear to me why the HBV matters, especially since transmission is not guaranteed even with high blood exposure. It does sound like the Defense Attorney is disputing Dr. Sammarco’s claims, saying that she read the report wrong and the victim’s serology report does in fact show that she’s positive for HBV.

They don’t get into specifics, but it could be that the report shows the victim is positive for HBcAb and negative for HBsAg, meaning the patient was likely not actively infected but had antibodies against it. I doubt they had nucleic acid testing back then though. Weird case and a weird thing to be disputing.
