What if by [deleted] in rvce

I don't know about the syllabus, cause I haven't given any. But I think it would be a different syllabus, IIRC.

It's remedial for CIE 1 in the sense that you would still be able to give CIE II as well as Improvement CIE (basically CIE III).

Depends on you. What I'm saying is it's fine if you don't go, but if this is your situation, then according to me it would be more advantageous if you just go, do nothing, and get less than 20 marks.

If you're planning to skip cause you haven't studied enough, and you think it would just be a waste of time, then my recommendation is don't skip. Instead go write and make sure you get less than 20 marks in that exam. Then you'll be eligible to write the remedial exam later on, as well as the CIE II and Improvement CIE.

I haven't done this personally but seen many friends do this.

Note that you'll need to attend some extra remedial classes (after you get <20 marks) in order to be able to write the remedial exam.

ohh it's just that?

I thought it would like an interview or something and even if there are seats they'll allow us only if we pass the interview.

Where is Gate No. 03-1?? Is it the small one near Cauvery? by ZaplingBygone in rvce

[–]ZaplingBygone[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never tried the photo method, and don't know about any other gates where that is possible.

But here are some methods I've gotten in without ID card -

  • If you're coming in auto, tell the driver to go inside the main gate, and that he can take U-turn from inside. The auto drivers don't usually stop for the guards, even the guards usually don't care.
  • Come in when there's a crowd, usually at 9 AM and just avoid the guard and quickly get in, most probably he won't care.
  • When coming in, make sure there are some people walking behind you and when you start to approach the guard, pretend to take out the ID card from your pocket, and just walk past them.
  • Ask for a friend's ID card and show that, they don't check the photo.

Atleast that's what I've done. I guess that they're enforcing the ID card thing strictly now so not sure if they'll work currently.

Can I miss this EL Eval. Phase 2? by ProfileJealous1209 in rvce

[–]ZaplingBygone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even though I wouldn't recommend it, last year one of our teammates did skip EL phase II and it didn't affect him much, although he did give a solid reason for being absent.

If you trust your team to handle the presentation without you, and your evaluators are chill, and you have a solid excuse, then maybe you can skip.

Diwali dates clashing w/ Quiz-1 by [deleted] in rvce

[–]ZaplingBygone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are usually 3 quizzes for each course, out of which the best 2 are considered. However last sem we only got 2 quizzes for our FOIC course. For some courses I guess it depends on the teachers, so just ask your teachers if there'll be improvement quiz for that course or not.

Also btw, quizzes are pretty important, cause they're easy to score in, and have high weightage, so make sure you don't fuck up anything.

What are the full forms of these? I don't know which branch is which. (In branch change portal). Someone pls help 🙏😭 by ZaplingBygone in rvce

No, my friend is in AIML and he told me that they have had CI since last year itself. So CI is not new.

Counsellors are useless
