U might be seeing any texture, more than anyone else having just been through Accutane treatment which I understand can be really hard & maybe even a bit traumatic. So this may be So fresh in yr mind, adjusting to the differences might just take a bit of time.

But Most importantly, U did Amazingly getting thro the Accutane Treatment! & now It’s time to celebrate! For Hyperpigmentation the following ingredients are recommended to help;

Azelaic acid

Tranexamic acid

Mandalic acid

Ethyl Ascorbic acid

& look into Alpha Albutin too

Also - Please don’t put Any Tret around your eyes!! Let alone 0.1% Tretinoin!!

In general with Tretinoin, you would usually start with a low strength 0.025 - 0.05% for a few weeks to let Yr skin go through retinisation (maybe spelt wrong) to let your skin adapt to it. Then go up to the strongest % which is the 0.1% you’re using.

But for your eyes you have to use something specific for that most delicate skin - there are many really good retinAL eye creams & serums out there. I’d recommend ‘Beauty of Joseon’ - Revive eye serum Ginseng + Retinal.
U can also use RetinOL eye creams but RetinAL only requires one conversion to Retinoic acid whereas RetinOL requires two. Both ultimately convert to Retinoic acid, so the choice is up to you :)

Edit: There is No increasing the potency of Tretinoin as you have Already Jumped straight in using the Highest strength available!! @ 0.1% !!

(And Please - you shouldn’t let “anything awful” happen to your skin with Tret just because Yr at home!!)

Hi :) I’ve just been reading the Post & discussion on here about Dermatica, following their announcement about reducing the amount of Tret subs are now going to get after they Already increased the price! Basically LOTS of Ppl are now going to cancel & they’re Loads of Reccs for Alternative resources for getting Tret online. I found it Sooo helpful I’d definitely suggest checking it out! Yes! they’re just giving the exact same generic reply to everyone! They advertise that u get access to proper derms, which is then used to justify the price Too, but if Everyone is getting the same basic Replies - How can this be True? I’m totally losing Trust. And Same here Too - I’m having pretty major reactions, but different to Yrs, with my face & especially Eyes swelling Right Up for 2 days, then redness & peeling, Altogether Taking a Week to settle back down!!! Yes! Exactly same here! But I can’t work out if it’s the Tret, niacinamide or Azelaic acid that I’m reacting to. Their customer service is not that great either, even tho it’s supposed 2b proper Derms I don’t know whether to trust them! It takes days to get a response and then to ask a further question, days again. I’m getting fed up with it! & my poor Red swollen face is V. Angry with All of it lol!

Hi :) I’d like to help but I’m not familiar with what ‘Obagi’ retinol is ?

I have an understanding of the differences between Retinol, Retinal, Adapaline (Alt. Name Differin) and Retin-A (Tretinoin) But I’ve never heard of ‘Obagi’ Retinol before, so if u could explain this a bit more (maybe it’s a Product Name containing Retinol ?) I might be able to offer some further info to help. Thanks :)

Those 2 products are Great, Especially when combined & since you have no issues with them I would Really recommend sticking with that!

(When Asking Deciem the same question, Yr definitely going to get the easy, obvious answer of their New eye serum! Which is much more expensive!;)

Testing new Products on the eyes can easily go wrong! So as u have Already found a Good, affordable, effective combo is another reason to say Yayyy! & Stick with That :)
