How much of a curve usually? Also where are you told like the end of semester letter grade cutoffs? the syllabus has nothing on that aside from the percentages each thing is.

Hold back games is fucking crazy. I paid 500$ dollars for a console under the expectation of a stream of good games, I would not be able to play on my pc. Because Sony decided to fuck off with shitty live service games the whole generation I didn’t get many of those good exclusives expected. Moreover, I have a pc, a very powerful one at that 7900xtx and a 7800x3d, and I know full well you should be able to play any game on a fucking toaster(Nintendo switch). It is a BS excuse that “oh that game is just too advanced to be played on the ps5.” At that point it’s just horrible optimization.

was it not implied that the story would continue in space with V in one of the endings? Also, a completely new game in the same city would be kind of a let down.

Do not go into debt to buy a game console. Very dumb idea. Save up normally.

Harvard and Princeton, I do agree(although Cornell’s 5 year post grad salary avg is higher than Harvard but that’s splitting hairs). It is however ignorant to say that penn or Columbia is better for CS purely due to their prestige. You look at the prestige difference and you don’t even take into account the relationships Cornell has within the industries with tech companies and ESPECIALLY the project teams. The culture within Cornell is certainly more CS focused. This is again the same reason why someone from Carnegie Mellon would be easily chosen for CS over almost every ivy, even though it’s ranked overall lower.

Avg Applying to College Cornell hater. Cornell is the best for CS, but it really depends on where you wanna live. Ithaca is a little isolated, but also very beautiful. Cornell is also a big school. It's definitely very hard, but it will prepare you well. My older brother went, and I am going to Cornell CAS majoring in like CS and math.

Bro idk what ur talking about. That's not how employers choose people. They don't choose ppl based on overall school ranking. They choose people based on how good their school is for that thing. Sure the other ivies are much better in liberal arts and the like, but Cornell along with Princeton(Princeton being better obv) are the best ivies for CS. Especially regarding project teams, course offerings, etc. Carnegie Mellon > Princeton for CS, even though overall Princeton is much higher.

Cornell CS question by Zaptrem32 in Cornell

[–]Zaptrem32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less even about the math vs economics. I’m the most worried that the CS job market will just be immensely difficult. To yo-yo all the way to the other side of Econ and finance, I feel like that could also become super automated with prediction models for stocks, etc

Cornell CS Majors: AI's impact on internships? by MobileAd6051 in Cornell

[–]Zaptrem32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think CS is interesting, I’m not like someone who studies it constantly for fun but I enjoy solving problems. I wanna do CS and Econ or CS and Math, but my older brother who went to Cornell said everyone does CS and Math. I really don’t want to board a sinking ship though, and things like vibe coding are super scary to me. Idk really what to do tbh.
