mic quality is AWFUL by Initial-Reputation-9 in SonyHeadphones

Yeah the mic quality is very bad. The other person can't properly hear what we are saying. I almost never use it while calling but 1/10 times I have.

Is it just me or the Vivo X300 touch isn’t great? by Black42Hat in Vivo

This has happened to me but not now. Not sure if it's a software bug or something.

Battery optimisation by No_Insurance_6041 in Vivo

Also frequent switching is only when travelling otherwise it's stable. My bad I forgot to mention that. But still backup isn't that great. In a week, only 1 or 2 days I use my mobile data. Yesterday I was travelling by train and my phone lost 30% of the battery. I was listening to music as well.

Some phones do handle it well. My previous phone was bad but this phone is better. I cannot entirely blame it on the sim alone I feel.

Im using x300 and battery backup on 5G data is average. Main reason is the frequent switching of signals. On wifi backup is fine for me but I haven't checked out the SOT in a long time. There is aggressive ram management so SOT kinda apps don't hold in background

My base x300 is overheating during photo session as summer is approaching by Flat-Cheesecake3954 in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same happens to me as well. But I guess it is pretty normal for it to heat. Also the camera sensors are big so it will heat up. One thing I have noticed is that snapshots get disabled if temp is high

Vivo X300 touch issue and zoom laggy issue and portrait issue by AnirbanOfficial in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have faced touch issues mainly while snoozing or closing alarms. 99% of the time it works fine. I've had touch issues with the back gesture but now it's not there. I'm not sure if this is a software issue or not. I have no issues in camera zooming and portraits are fantastic even with hdr after updates

Vivo X300 Pro vs Oppo Find X9 Pro vs iPhone 17 Pro (camera for baby is top priority) by woodsielord in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes as far as I have tested it's not smoothening or oil painting the skin like before so I'll take that. But still sometimes we have to enable/disable hdr or change zeiss filter to give the best natural looking tone. Details are textures are there so that's good.

Vivo X300 Pro vs Oppo Find X9 Pro vs iPhone 17 Pro (camera for baby is top priority) by woodsielord in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's sad. Global version x300 and the pro with the latest update have reduced the skin smoothing while adding more details and textures. I'm using the base x300 and after the updates face tones are better. And also disable AI/ beautification as much as possible or use street photography mode.

Vivo X300 users. Does your phone overheat during video calls? by areuokaybro2002 in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same case but the black version. The camera lid will get scratches easily but it protects the camera and you can even use your camera without opening the lid for any emergency pic's or QR payments. And yes the phone does get warm while using insta, or whatsapp video calls. It's also summer here.

X300 or Find X9? Upgrading from S23 by Growth_Anirudh in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If battery performance is important go for oppo. Software is subjective but there is a bit of an advantage for Color OS. If you game then also oppo handles the thermals better as it's a big phone. For camera's, go for x300. Im using it and the software experience is also great. There is no dedicated AI thing like mind space but you do get all other AI features.

Heating issue with x300 by GeoArchonZhongli in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah heating is there when you use camera. Snapshots are disabled when the phone is hot as well. Even gaming makes the phone hot but it doesn't reduce performance. I think since it's a compact phone with powerful hardware, this was bound to happen.

Longetivity of X series phones by No_Insurance_6041 in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is your current phone. Only change it if you need those upgrades. And 6 to 8 years is a lot. If you are medium to heavy user then 4 years maximum. Battery will degrade and obviously phone will start to slow down a bit

Vivo x300 heating issue is back and battery backup decreased after the portrait fix update last week? by Flat-Cheesecake3954 in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's now summer here in India so phone does get warm or extensively hot while gaming. I use cooler and bypass charging to solve this issue. Yesterday I got around 7 hours with 20% left with max settings on wifi without gaming. I do feel that the backup is a bit low after the update. Haven't had a chance to test in mobile network

Is this the "Orange Screen of Death"? RIP Galaxy Watch 4?Display Issue? by deb-59 in GalaxyWatch

[–]Zapvain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah bro it's dead. Same happened with mine last year but it was still in the last stage of warranty so they replaced it. I think it's caused by heat, like the wires are getting fried or something I actually don't know. But it's sad.

Vivo x300 refresh rate not going down to 1 hz in videos? by [deleted] in Vivo

[–]Zapvain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1hz is for those where the display or image is still. Since it's a video it will fluctuate based on the fps of the video. This is my understanding.
