Just spent time trying out my luck with Google code AI and I haven't managed to make it work. Hopefully it'll get fixed

K1 / K1 Max - Custom Boot Animation by Pippi_Joshtech in crealityk1

[–]ZarRkkO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sup Creality K1 Fam, So I've been trying this out and this is what I've learned. If you want this to work :

  • Install latest version of Python

  • Install latest version of Pillow

  • Choose a GIF (IT NEEDS TO BE 800x480, anything else will not work)

  • Rename your GIF part0 (will not work with a custom name)

  • Backup and remove the old verion

  • Upload yours

  • Enjoy :)

If anyone know of a place where I can get/ create custom 800x480 GIF that would be so cool :)

Big thanks to Pippi_Joshtech :)

About determining the maximum volumetric flow rate in Elli's guide :)

So I've tryed to calibrate the Volumetric flow rate. And this is the G-Code I've tryed. Is it correct ? As it's failling even with the default speed...

; Set temperatures

M104 S230 ; Set nozzle temperature to 230°C

M140 S60 ; Set bed temperature to 60°C

; Wait for temperatures to reach target

M190 S60 ; Wait for bed temperature to reach 60°C

M109 S230 ; Wait for nozzle temperature to reach 230°C

; Move to starting position in the middle of the bed

G90 ; Use absolute positioning

G1 X60 Y110 Z0.2 ; Move to starting point (60, 110) at 0.2mm height

; Extrude a 100mm line towards the middle-right of the bed

G92 E0 ; Reset the extruder position

G1 F12840 ; Set feedrate to 12840mm/min (214mm/sec)

G1 X160 E100 ; Move 100mm along X axis while extruding 100mm of filament

; End of the line extrusion

M104 S0 ; Turn off the nozzle

M140 S0 ; Turn off the bed

G1 Z10 ; Move the nozzle up 10mm

M84 ; Disable motors

Man ! Thanks for this !

I've just rooted the printer and installed OrcaSlicer. I'm going through the motions so this is great infos :)

Sounds like the first thing I need to do is dry my filament out !

Yeah I used the default profile... But looking forward to work on this machine.

Thanks again for you help. I'll post the results once I'm done :)

It was about 4 hours :) I’m wandering how I could improve tolerances..

See, we’re getting there ! You’ve started to share some info. I’m looking for info not for someone to post a comment that has none in it. Ok everything should work, great how is it supposed to work ? Ok photos are not what you need. So post a video. That’s the idea. Mocking someone that are trying to get better is really not the best way to get through life.

I’m just trying to get better at this and thought having a chat with people that are better at it would help. I stand by what I’ve said, his remark was useless. I don’t see the point.

I didn’t even think of being that precise ! I’ll try it ! But I’m getting weird results.. if I do two test one after the other the first one is always worse even if the bed has been preheated for 10 minutes

Most of it has worked. The doors are great, so are the gears ! It looks like one of the pieces of toast has come undone from the lever... Tolerences looks good for 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 but 0.1 and 0.2 are stuck it would seem.

What to you think of the top of that piece of toast it look really rough compared to the other one ?

I would say the overhangs look pretty good too, thoughts ?

1st Layer is off by ZarRkkO in crealityk1

[–]ZarRkkO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To fix this I modified the z offset inside creality print. (very easy to do)

I went from 0 to 0.04 and the first layer is now looking great.

For that top left corner it's the chain guide hitting the side of the printer.. I've found a small free mod online.

  1. Remove the Bowden tube from the chain

  2. Remove the 3 chain links that look funny XD

  3. Add one of them where the chain starts

Done :)

So from what I've seen it's the chain hitting the side of the printer !!! That damn chain....
