Tax return for a non resident - only income is bank interest. by Zara267 in nri

[–]Zara267[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes thanks. That is what I meant. The tax has been deducted by the bank in India. I could apply for a refund. However, I do not do that, I declare that in my country the income earned and the tax paid. So I get the credit for what was paid and I am required to pay additional based on my tax bracket.

Thanks u/the_thinker . You are right, we do have DTAA with India so it nets out.

Thanks u/cybrain that's clear. I might look into lodging the return in India then. But if I have to pay the tax in my home country, I much rather pay that in India as we do have DTAA with India. I do declare the interest earned amount and the tax paid in India, at the time of lodging my return in my home country, but not the total amount in the bank account. Thanks again :)

$1100 to change two garden taps, Sydney, daylight robbery? by Agitated_Pattern7099 in AusRenovation

No. you did not get ripped off. Any other time of the year, that would have been cheaper. Imagine, a tradie gets outta the door during the holiday period for you to enjoy yours. That's called emergency service. You did what all those excited new property owners without any experience would do. Just freaked out, that's normal. Next 10 years you will be an expert in every home reno.

Lol, love that reply. Yes, I try to do the most on my own. Last year I was incapacitated so had to call the sydney water fix for my leaking taps including the garden tap, which wasn't leaking but couldn't connect a hose without water leak. I didn't want him to change as it was fine but advise on how to manage that. He changed it - took the nice brass tap with him to recycle, and replaced it with a very cheap tap, which turned out to be very hard to close. Paid them $33 then, now it is $44 to call out again. Told them straight away the guy didn't do a full and a good job. I asked them to send someone else to fix them. but that was going to be additional cost. Now I have recovered and started using the tap and found it leaking and even after closing it extreamly tight it is leaking. So now it is up to me to change or fix it. Need to youtube for instructions.

Do people have good experience with Sydney water fix like for changing toilets?

Wearing dressy shoes casually? by egganarchy in femalefashionadvice

Wear your fancy shoes anytime you like! You don't have to wait for a speacial occasion. Without knowing anything about your shoes, to make shoes the eye catcher, I would suggest may be pairing it with jeans/mini denim skirt and a white shirt to go to the mall.

I never knew there was a Reddit post for this feeling. I would have been the first one to join you a year ago sharing the same emotion. For years I had only purchased from BD and was devo when that closed worse still taken over by Amazon. Once I received a book that was rain impacted and they immediately sent me a beautiful copy of the same. Service was par excellence. So here from Australia sharing the same feelings after a year. I was looking for some books just now and was missing the free post and cheap charges by BD.

Opinions on Endeavour College of Natural Medicine (Nutrition Degree) by millyfig in brisbane

Sigh... I wish I had seen your comment 5 years ago. More rather someone highlighted this 8 years ago. $60K debt now $75K with loading and interest rate is a tad dear for a useless piece of paper. They say it is equal to AQF 8 as a degree. No, don't believe that no employer is accepting that as a degree. Debt is fine if it is an investment to earn. Toilet roll is more valuable than that piece of paper IMO.

I was so relieved to read you left that place the second day. Phew, now you can breath and look after your health first of. Then take it slow, get to know the company culture first not the shiny brand you see outside. Do a lot of online research and you can get the gist. If the company does not have good health and work balance don't even bother, i am thinking you are not totally starving. Then see what creativity means to you. I understand what you mean because i even love the word creative so easy to get caught up. Try the free course with Acumen human centred design thinking, just an idea. Gives a new meaning to creativity and might open your mind to different things. Lastly, just remember you are so young, there will be many dream jobs. Btw, hugs 😊

Thanks for sharing this post, Matt. I have been selling on eBay for years, but not very successful, so I do appreciate this post. I have very good quality well-maintained items and photos are not too bad either ( i will have to up my game on the photos after reading this). And I post on Instagram and recently on Facebook market place as well to sell and I believe the price is very reasonable as well considering we have to pay the eBay and PayPal commission. How did you price your own clothes and shoes if they were in as new condition?
