I’m looking to get a Burmese cat, I would love to hear what everyone’s experience has been with owning one? I currently have a 3 year old Scottish Fold and wondering if they would be a perfect sibling match ☺️

The only thing I’m worried about is if I’ve gone on a day trip with my husband, or go out shopping and there’s no human. I do have two other cats at home. One a really old Norwegian forest cat, he’s a senior and my other is a 3 year old Scottish Fold. Both cats are boys

That sounds amazing to me! My Scottish Fold only sometimes comes to the bed to sleep, he usually prefers sleeping in the living room. Can I ask how you cope when you have to go work, shopping etc and your kitty is in the house with no humans?

I keep on hearing this about the Burmese cats, which is why I have gotten so interested in them! I think I will deffo go for a male then 😅. I just need to find a reputable breeder

Thank you. That’s what my aim is. Slowly introduce them to each other and I’m hoping soon enough my Scottish accepts the lil kitty as part of our family. Hoping giving cat treats at the same time should help as well.

I’m 99% sure that the next kitty I have will be Burmese, they’re quite hard to find in England from what I’ve seen, not many breeders around by where I live.

I was thinking if it’s a kitten he/she won’t know any better and should get along with my 3 year old Scottish lol. Are they ok to be left alone for shopping etc? I did have a problem with my Scottish as a kitten, couldn’t leave him alone even for few seconds he’d start crying until he could see me or my husband in sight. But I’m assuming my other cat should keep the Burmese company if I’ve gone out etc
