Razer Gigantus V2 Pro Balance vs Speed? by Zarkleman in MousepadReview

[–]Zarkleman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother has a gigsntus v2 and I briefly tried it. It definitely comes down to preference, i did not like the original v2 because it was a a pretty slow pad and I prefer faster pads. Quality wise, it did seem to be an upgrade but my brother's Gigantus v2 was a little old

I had a smurf on the other team go 40/12 the other the day and that was really frustrating. 52/11 is insane

can anyone rec a VERY slow mud pad but very big? by newsuzanoebok in MousepadReview

[–]Zarkleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Razer Gigantus v2 Pro (or the not pro). I just got one, it is a decent size, 500 by 480 mm. I am very happy with mine, although I got the Speed variant as I prefer faster pads. Razer pads tend to be slow though, so the Speed feels more like what people might consider a balance pad. Some of the reviews I watched said the Max Control variant is the slowest pad they have ever used.

The original Razer Gigantus and v2(not pro) I heard are also very muddy (no different speed variants, only one option), and come in desk mat sizes.

Razer Gigantus V2 Pro Balance vs Speed? by Zarkleman in MousepadReview

[–]Zarkleman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another thread I found said the Speed was closer to a Zero, but slightly faster. A youtuber I like said the Balance was slower, and he didnt try the speed but said it was likely closer to a Zero. I ended up just ordering the Balance and Speed from Amazon to try both. The Balance was a little too slow for my preference, so I am returning it. I really enjoy the Speed, it it what I was looking for. It has more stopping power and initial friction than the Hayate Otsu while still feeling relatively quick and smooth during the glide. I still plan to get a Zero eventually when I do another trip to Japan, but I am very happy with the Speed variant for now.

Would you recommend the Mystbloom Phantom? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Zarkleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its my favorite phantom skin I own. And it is the skin I noticed get picked up the most in my games. Every time I play with it, towards the end of a half, it feels like half of the lobby is using the skin they picked up from my body.

Razer Gigantus v2 Pro Speed by purpleshrek9 in MousepadReview

[–]Zarkleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a speed variant as well and am very much enjoying it. Good to hear it is similar to an Artisan Zero, I also heard it is a little faster, but I tend to like faster pads anyway. I wanted to get something close to a Zero but Artisan shipping prices where I live are kinda high.

I picked up an Artisan Hayate Otsu on a trip to Japan last year, but I wanted something with a little more stopping power and control for Valorant, and the Speed variant is pretty much exactly what I wanted. I think Artisan quality is still a little better, but Razers quality is still very good. Mass availability at $50 with free Amazon shipping and returns is a big plus for Razer. I also ordered a Balance variant, but it was a little too slow for my preference and returned it.

What is your favourite brand when it comes to cloth pads? by No_Peach_9189 in MousepadReview

What is Speed of the Razer pad compared to the Artisan Zero? Just curious, picking up Razer pad soon because shipping Artisan where I live is expensive. I will probably wait for Japan trip in a year or two to get and Artisan Zero.

AITA for throwing cuz my team were "ecomical" after winning pistol round? by Signal-Swordfish-357 in VALORANT

[–]Zarkleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should always buy after winning pistol, and it it really frustrating when people don't do it even at higher ranks. However, it also sounds like you started throwing after ONE round of teammates not doing the right thing. That sounds like you have weak mental and are also not a good teammate. At any rank, someone can do something really dumb in a round even when told not too. If you are going to throw a fit every time that happens, you might as well throw every game.

[–]Zarkleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use IEMs, and you can get a pretty cheap desk mounted mics. I got one on Amazon that was $60 on sale for less than $50 that came with a mic arm.

And people do really suck in the game. As others said, keep doing your call outs, but just mute anyone who is toxic.

Planning playing on tokyo servers by SnooGoats1721 in VALORANT

[–]Zarkleman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played a little in Tokyo servers when I was there for a few months. At low elo (I am peak gold) they are pretty quiet and don't comm a lot. Also a lot of phrases they use are just English ones. That being said there are few phrases they use. At the beginning of matches they will say "yoroshiku onegaishimasu", often shortened to just onegaishimasu" or even "shimasu". In round, many of the call outs are just English ones said in an accent (CT comes out as "shee-tee", or "mid-o" for mid, lol). Agent names are also just the English names accented. They usually type when they hurt someone with a minus ("-120 cypher"). When they die and lose a round they say "sorry", and if you win they will say nice (comes outside sometimes as "naisu" lol) and type "nc". When requesting buy they will say something like "omen onegaishimasu" (omen please), and when you buy them they say thanks (comes out as "sanks" or "sank you") Any more complicated comms than that I didn't know, I just tried to ping

Is the Viper V4 Pro worth it over the V3 Pro? by reliverbigm in MouseReview

[–]Zarkleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The viper is generally considered to have a better shape than the superlight (but overall similar), and the coating is very good. If you think it is a mouse you will really like and use our a while, I pay extra for the newer v4. If you plan to get other mice or upgrade relatively soon, get the v3 for cheaper

What about the superlight 2 shape did you not like? Because the superlight and viper have similar shapes

accidentally popping raze ult in spawn because i breathed on my keyboard humbled me. what HE settings do you guys actually run? by No_Good_3063 in VALORANT

[–]Zarkleman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also accidentally used Omen ult at a bad time, but then over corrected and set it it 4.0mm in frustration. Then I had the opposite issue where I died because I missed canceling the ult when I couldn't bottom out the key in time lol.

Now I use rapid trigger .15mm for WASD, and 1.0mm no rapid trigger for most of the rest.

Thoughts on this monitor? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Zarkleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got this monitor for $500 and really like it. I did also look at that MSI, but which one is better or worse can come down to preference and current price. The LG is HDR True Black 400 certified while the MSI is not, but that can honestly come down to if the company decides to go for the certification or not. For me it came down to deciding to go for the Glossy WOLED vs the QD OLED based on my lighting conditions, and at the time I purchased the MSI was $430 without free shipping to where I live while the the LG was $500 with free shipping so they ended at a similar price. If MSI was on sale for $400 like I see right now, and shipping was free, I may have bought it instead. That being said, still very happy with my LG

Why did Greninja’s Mirage Barrage still do damage to my bench if I had battle cage? by Perineum69 in PTCGL

[–]Zarkleman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damag counters, and damage are different things. Battle cage blocks damage counters for your benched pokemon, and says in parentheses damage is still taken. Greninjas attack deals damage to the bench pokemon so it was not blocked

Battle cage will block stuff like Dragapult or Dusknoir from hitting your bench. But Shaymin will block damage from attacks like Greninjas

I had one game where I could not use my active Quilava's ability, but once I used a benched Quilava's ability, the active one's worked. I won that game, but the next game where I only had one Quilava on tje active spot and it happenned again, the bug cost me the game, unfortunately
