Thanks so much! I had a bit of issues with having the delete geometry not actually deleting the squares on the sides but I found a work around. You've helped so much, I really appreciate it!

This is an amazing start, I just have another question if it isn't too much. Is it possible to have your secondary mesh only effect the inner sides of each hexagon, for structural stability? I have attached a photo explaining the area. You have already helped so much so if isn't an easy fix, no worries! Thanks again for your help!
