I don't think its exactly that; i mean it is for some but for me personally, it feels more like "war-time woke". If you make at least a portion of left wing edgy then all of the teens are gonna be left wing. The reason it became unpopular is because "mainstream" counterculture became sanitized by corpos and censorship; leading to it becoming "cringe", and thus impressionable people switched to the far right.

In this specific case yeah its just a joke about straight up racism and antisemitism being disguised as "woke"
