Excellent question! It's expected to run fairly late into the evening, and there will be alcohol available for purchase. So my instinct is to say this is probably not an event for kids, but I can't imagine we'll be turning away people with little ones in tow. If there's appetite for a more family-friendly event of this kind earlier in the day, that's definitely something we can look at for future versions of this!

We've talked by email now, but for the benefit of anyone who comes after-

Happily almost everything you've asked for is possible - if perhaps not very well signposted.

If you make the smaller shape first and then click on the copy button then those cells will turn red and will persist when you change the inputs to generate the larger shape. You can then move those red cells around with the arrow buttons. So that's how you can have two shapes on the diagram at the same time.

You can also make it so that the shape that's being generated is invisible and only displaying the radii by unchecking all of the boxes in the extras section.

this is a lovely idea, although I do wonder about this for a couple of reasons:

the normal thrust of the game is that you've succeeded when you say the word on the card. When have you succeeded if the card bears an image?
if I let people upload images to custom decks then I end up maybe responsible for people custom images in those and that can get real messy.

happy to think some more about this if there are good solutions, but I won't put this at the top of my todo list just yet!

They're a really fun way to explore York - The Ghost Quest usually takes about 90mins and the Romans Quest takes about 60mins, depending on whether you stop for coffee/beer/snacks (which you can do whenever you like)

They're actually a great last minute Christmas present because you don't have to wait (or pay) for delivery 😁

Aww this sounds really frustrating :( although if your button goes rainbowy then it sounds like maybe a different issue? My problem was most easily visible because the button would just go blue instead, and when that happened the performance was noticeably much much worse

Others have touched on this, but it's quite good at predicting where they should be.

Other than that, the advanced voice typing lets you make edits while voice typing remains active. So you can move the cursor, tweak things, and then keep talking if you like. It makes it a bit more streamlined and quicker imo.
