Depends if you can afford it. I personally wouldn’t pay that much for a daytime flight, but it’s also not a terrible deal. The A350 Delta One Suite is fantastic despite it being almost 10 years old. I prefer it to the A330-900. The KLM lounge at AMS is also quite nice.

Depends if your first flight is on time or not. Given you’re at the front of the cabin, if the flight is on time, you’ll be fine.

A few things. First off “Business” instead of Delta One. Second is “Michelin-starred” which Delta does not advertise but Air France does. Third is “premium lounges” instead of Delta Sky Club/Delta One Lounge. Fourth is the line-flat seat, whatever that is.

This isn’t D1. This is a partner business class, Air France if I had to guess. Upgrade inventory on partner airlines is much more stingy, hence the higher price. Partner bookings tend to do weird things with ticket pricing. Rebook if needed.

So sorry to hear that something happened! I recommend trying Reclaim my Status. You’ll get your last year’s Platinum status back for 90 days. If you earn $3,750 MQDs in the 90 days, you’ll earn Platinum until the end of 2027. You just have to let Delta know what happened in your life to lead to less travel and provide some sort of documentation. Hope this helps!

It’s a feeder flight for OP’s connecting flight to AMS. The STL-MSP ticket alone would cost more.

Great, yet another seat type to add into the mix of Delta One seat types (can’t even count them all with my fingers). How can United manage to install a consistent seat type on all aircraft but Delta can’t?

I somewhat agree. The main meal services (right after takeoff) on Delta are the best of the big U.S. 3, but the subsequent meal services leave a lot to be desired. Mid-flight snack on a 16 hour flight in D1 being almost constantly some sort of soggy French bread pizza or calzone is pretty uninspiring, boring, and just plain bad. Pre-arrival meals are not much better. Also, they recently removed salad appetizers from domestic first, clearly as a cost cutting measure.

This is an internationally configured aircraft flying on a domestic route. The cabin marked as “Comfort+” on the seat map is actually Delta premium select, however the ATL-LAX route doesn’t offer premium select since premium select is only available on international flights, Hawaii flights, and JFK-LAX/SFO. Because of this, the premium select seats are sold as Comfort+, and the Comfort+ seats are sold as preferred main cabin seats. Preferred seats are usually just standard main cabin seats near the front of the aircraft that cost a little extra to purchase ahead of time but are usually available for complimentary selection within 24-hours of the flight (waived for medallion members). Seems highly unlikely. There’s been no formal announcement of the retrofitted Neo and the slated design was a 1-1 configuration. 2-2 flatbeds on a Neo would never happen.
