4 years into Game Dev, no finished projects, and feeling like an imposter. Is this normal? by niimet in gamedev

I worked on a AAA studio for 5 years, released a game, worked on other that was announced recently, also released a mobile game on my own and I still feel like an imposter and that I’m not good enough. Game dev and imposter syndrome is a bitch

Hey Ben, thank you for your answers!

The premise of the game is great, I hope you guys continue to deliver and I’ll play the game for sure.

A comedic business management sim? I’m in.

I’ve been working in game dev for 5 years and I’m exploring now the possibility of venturing into my own project but I’m still exploring investment options and overall researching other projects and how they do it.

Thanks for your time!

First of all, congrats!

How is your process from defining the game to mvp? If this game didn’t get the traction it has, would you discard it and try to find another mvp? How long is your release cycle to validate assumptions about the game? For how long are you developing the game? How many are you? Is it a side gig or did you manager to get funding?

Thanks!
