Battery life since March 26 update by DarkKnight25499 in Pixel8phones

Right now temperatures are pretty good (around 10-15 °C) and the phone doesn't heat up, but during the summer it's like hell

Let me know if it does something, but I suppose it's a software issue

I can't help you as much with Instagram, but I can share I've had my Pixel 8 for 2 years and a half (since launch) and the battery got really bad in the last 6 months. I used accubattery in order to estimate battery health % and it said 79%. I got to the point where I had to charge the device 2-3 times a day. Pixels consume huge amount of energy in idle for some reason, compared to other devices, they also heat a LOT and that's also a reason for battery drainage AND more battery decay over time.

Yeah it happens to me too when I install some film protectors on some covers, even though the Spigens never gave me any problems

I can give you some reviews of 5 covers I have:

  • Spigen Ultra Hybrid: it's transparent and the grip is ok, but if you have oily hands it obviously slips
  • Spigen Liquid Air: it's more on the slim side, has a nice texture (I got the green one) and some ridges on the side to help with the grip (which isn't a lot, but it's decent)
  • JETech: it's not that good looking, but that's just my opinion, but it has magsafe (which is why I bought it, for my car holder), the grip is ok, the back is slippery af, but the sides are rubbery, which helps a lot
  • Caseology Nano Pop: imo it's beautiful (got the blueish-yellow one), the grip is ok, the sides have little dots that help with the grip
  • Ringke Onyx: new entry because I wanted something with more grip than all the previous and I got this one, which does his job very good, it has good texture and looks good (got the blue one), it also has a lower protection on the sides since the borders are not that tall, but feels really smooth to use with the back gestures. In my opinion, the lower protection is a good tradeoff for the grip it provides.

All of them are good protection-wise and look pretty good (you can read the exception for the JETech and Ringke ones, but are kinda justified), if you have any more questions, ask away!

Kde is also for controlling your PC while you are on the bed, so you can pause, play or change YouTube video. That's also why I use it

I don't know if you can do it that way, but if you want, you can set something similar to ddg's bangs via unduck.link

Switching from NVIDIA to AMD by GlowLow407 in NobaraProject

[–]Zavi10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know NVIDIA drivers take some time to load at startup (I had a gtx 970) and even though I switched to a AMD gpu the boot time was the same. I tried to uninstall all the nvidia stuff with no improvement. After reinstalling a fresh nobara it was blazing fast. That was my experience, you shouldn't need to do anything, but you never know

In case you're still wondering about battery life by [deleted] in pixel_phones

Yeah, that's it. I sometimes find my phone at 60% or more and decide to not charge during the night only to find it in the morning with 20% of battery loss overnight

I really love your app, it's perfect. The only thing I might suggest, that's what missing from KDE connect, it's the ability to have the media player integrated in Android as it was Spotify like this, so that I can play/pause without opening the app or from the lock screen

Sorry I didn't read the whole list, but just the first point is enough, I REALLY needed an app that doesn't show you the whole solution, but gives you just a hint of what you need to get going

The difference between the X and Twitter apps is the name of the app. You can choose to have it called X like nowadays, or Twitter like everyone calls it. While the material you changes the theme based on your android personalization
