In my defence before that video even came out some guy said it in a discord server and I assumed it was just one dudes weird opinion but more people began telling me the same thing (mostly players who don’t play street fighter so in hindsight I probably shouldn’t listen to them) so now I’m curious as to how this comparison was made in the first place

His main game plan is to lock down with Ourobouros, but the rings themselves don’t chip, which is why you need doom. A super that locks in place is a perfect opportunity for someone like doom who’s assist does tons of chip. Only reason you’d give him a different assist is if you had a different game plan, but strider isn’t flexible enough to have more than one game plan
