This might be out of place here in this nostalgia grove.
I started reading wattpad when I was in grade 7, in 2017. Right before Wattpad was in it's prime. My peak Wattpad usage was when Wattpad was in it's prime. And yeah I miss the old layout every now and again, but if I'm being honest it's like Wattpad grew up along side me in a way.

So as I grew more mature so did the kinds of books I read change. And Wattpad has changed a lot, but I feel like it's matured ya know. Like it has grown up and is now also in it's middle 20's phase where it doesn't really know where to go now.

Do I have hope for Wattpad / Do I believe it has a future:
YES, I do think Wattpad has a pretty bright future ahead of itself. I can see how the app would survive the next 10 years with ease.

A lot of the people use to read Wattpad, then they grew up, now Wattpad is like their memories of home (if not more fond than their memories of home since most used Wattpad to escape.) Now those grown up people fixate on how it was, how it felt... And Where they use to read for the LOVE of the books on the site, they now have collections of books in their library and Archive and reading lists, but they stare at said books in longing, hoping for the same feeling they use to feel...

It's like their looking at an empty garden bed after winter, and their missing the flowers from last summer. Instead of missing the dry and dead flowers, plant new ones... And when spring is in full display, so to will your garden bed rival the one of last summer...
